Cumberbatch was always going to get one of the 200 roles I and everyone else wanted him for. I'm sure he'll be awesome and I hope he makes many appearances as the character. Give him a great script Marvel (and find something for Reeves t: ).

One of the few times I've had a very weak reaction to a superhero casting. Cumberbatch will do a good job for sure, but he's the lamest out of the possible ones they had.

Meeeeeeeeh! Very boring and predictable choice. This guy is always rumored for everything, and while he's a fine actor i find the hype surrounding him way exagerated.

Well it looks like I was wrong. I just didn't think he'd be the one, but I'm so so about the news of his casting. It's such an uninspired and boring choice. Now Ezra Miller is exciting casting. Why Marvel didn't go for an out of the box pick is beyond me. Cumberbatch is just so safe a dependable. Like buying a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry, you know they are reliable cars but meh. I like the man and I'm sure he's gonna do well but I was really hoping for Reeves or Oscar Isaacs.. Reeves cause he's good and shines in certain roles and Strange would be one of them and Isaacs cause he's a good actor and it'll be someone of color. Oh well Good luck to Cumberbatch.

If they were gonna get a Brit I would've liked and been excited about Ewan McGregor.

The character is white in the comics I didn't expect Marvel would really cast anyone who wasn't white. They won't race change for lead roles, they wouldn't want to make part of their fanbase angry.
