i definitely want more Michelle Gomez next season
well more michelle gomez in general, need to check out some of her other work

She's the standout of a UK show called Green Wing. Every episode she has scenes in her office most of which were improvised that the other actors didn't know what was coming and she kills it every time.

thanks for the tip Deserana, i will definitely check that out

Time for Moffat to go. Last Season was a let down but he just somehow trumped that this year.

So, are you having an enjoyable experience being part of the vocal and insignificant minority?

Indeed he did. With the only good eppys being Into the Dalek, and the Mathison penned epsodes

The vast majority loved Two and a Half Men.

Moffat's time is up and if you don't think there is a decline in quality over his tenure then you will be fine watching Two and a Half Men with your fellow majority.

Yes, I enjoy my opinion and those that feel so compelled to comment on it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Bustin' makes me feel good.

I don't think I'm that easily pleased, but I cannot say I have noticed a real decline in quality. New Who has always had some good and some crap, I think. For me, its high points were probably Matt Smith's first two series, the low points came at the end of David Tennant's run. I don't think we're at either extreme at the moment.

While I don't think this series was a let down, DarthMuppets comment was completely unnecessary and reeks of a certain kind of insecurity.

Looking back at that 1995 NZ fanzine interview, it seems the insecurity never went away; only hid it well until the last year or two

I don't think there's been a decline in quality, rather, a shift in how the show is presenting it's lead and companion in comparison to the previous Doctor's since the show was renewed.

I really hope they make Capaldi more likable in the next season and want to feel that we'll be able to connect with his Doctor. I was really hoping there would be more focus on finding Gallifrey and a sense of suspense and adventure associated with that fundamental storyline and drive for 13.

I'd say series 8 was a definite step up from series 7. It felt like the show was running on fumes in series 7.

It's the writing quality that's declining. It's like Moffat doesn't care as much anymore or he's dividing his time instead of focusing his energy into Who. Yes each season there is good and bad but the bad outweigh the good 2 years now. For example:

Why was Missy visiting the dead in "Heaven" when not a single one came after the Doctor as a newly found Cyberman? She made him an army with a flawless plan except for the part that they still have emotion that override their orders? Cyberman don't need emotion so why the hellll was she storing their minds? Why not recondition them to obey? The Master has just been so mistreated writing wise.

I had a bunch of small issues like the Listen ep. The episode concluded that there is nothing in the room as it was Clara that affected the young Doctor and being alone drove him and the astronaut Danny a bit stir crazy but something physical was in younger Danny's room as it made the bed move and the sheet disappear.

So sloppy and careless.

These Cybermen didn't even resemble the ones from Nightmare in Silver. I didn't take them as being the "real" Cybermen.

And why would they attack the Doctor? They are supposed to be his private army.

The episode didn't conclude that. You did.

Why was the young Doctor out their alone crying in the first place? It wasn't Clara that scared him. She only showed up after.

They don't attack the one that wears the bracelet...their commander. They were attacking Clara without an order to do so. She made him a robot army that was defective because they had emotions and was interviewing the people he killed for no reason whatsoever. Pretty brilliant plan.

"Listen" concluded that way...or else the Doctor would want to know who else is in his Tardis with him. It just dropped off. The Doctor always cried at night and didn't want to be in the house. Did you not catch that? Clara made him think someone or something was under the bed and to not look at her...when it was her all along. If there was an invisible race, they infiltrated his Tardis and he never cared again for whatever reason. That's a big security risk.

Series 1, 5 and 8 are the best of the relaunch, in my opinion.

Hmm series 1 has really aged IMO. But I wasn't a very big fan of RTD's writing.

Goodness me. In the richly toxic field of fanboy gripes and nit picks, this really is small beer.

It was one of the other kids on a wind up. They even say it a couple of times but are not sure and are scared so they don't look around. So the kid just walks off.

I still think it's a solid series. I still can't really decide which Tennant season is my favourite. In some respects I think Eccleston is better than Capaldi. I like his more excitable personality about travelling time, mixed with the dark introspection. But it all comes down to preference of course. Both are good, but shame Chris only did one series.

Huh? The army was meant for the Doctor. The Master was going to give it to the Doctor. They weren't for Clara so of course they would attack her cause she doesn't matter. It only hesitated cause she said she was the Doctor.

The "love conquers" programming is lame, but that's on Moffat's writing choice.

It wasn't just crying. He left the house to hide in a barn. He was a scared of something. It wasn't Clara.

We never saw the "monster" under the sheet. We never saw the monster outside the space ship. We never saw what made the Doctor cry or what was in the Tardis. Moffat repeated that motif/theme for a reason. Did you see that?

We never saw any of them cause that wasn't the point.I'm not saying the viewers have to like it, but that doesn't change that the writer's intent was simply about fear and how it works with the Doctor in physical form (Daleks, Cybermen, Silurians) or emotional( challenging the unknown and being curious)

Strangely, I agree that Moffat needs to go, but simply because he's still running on fumes. He got a bit of new energy back by building up Clara and having an older Doctor, but the weakness are still there.
