i understand what all of you guys are talking about with the permawhite bulls***, i get normans point, and i wasnt trying to make a topic out of the superman thing.
Both arguments are correct; depending upon how you look at it, really.
I think it will be revealed that the Joker will have a permawhite face.
My reasoning is simple:
There are picture of the Joker with facepaint in a police outfit. There are pictures of the Joker with a "flesh looking" face in a police outfit. IF he was, in fact, a man who simply put on make up - there is no reason he would ever have his warpaint on in the police outfit. After all, he is trying to blend in.
I think this clearly implies that the Joker covers his face in fleshmake up and then wipes it off revealign the Joker underneath. This gives me hope.
im glad the joker is not perma white thatll just ruin nolans vision

go there and look at all the caps of joker, you see his neck and arms that are his skin, his face has makeup, read the empire magazine article and michael caine explains how the joker puts the make up on and leaves it on.
if nolans "big ending twist" is that the jokers skin is permawhite, which i am 99% certain its not in this film, then i will give up supporting his take on the batman franchise.
*hands up*
you caught me!

why does anyone care if he's permawhite? That's like complaining that batman is not wearing tights. He's still smiling he's in purple nd he has green hair. THAT'S THE JOKER!
haha i tried the same "ill boycott batman" line...its all LIES!![]()
Yeah, it's a very complicated subject as well.i'm going to go easy on that subject, its very touchy for some people...lol...
Your reasoning is certainly...reasonable...
However, this is the first time I read about The Joker in a police uniform with full makeup. How did I miss that picture?
Was anyone here actually mad that Ras alguhl trained bruce in begins? Or that there was no mention of the lazarus pit or talia? That is the same as permawhite. Nolan is making a film adapted from comics not comic book movie. There is a big difference.
