It's a really minor thing, I know, but I wondered at the end of SR when she watches Superman fly away, does she look at her kid, contemplatively? She follows Superman, as he flies away, and then kinda settles her look on her kid, maybe as a new source of pride and/or love? What do you think?

No, i think she just follows Superman with her eyes, if you look in the background Superman does fly behind the house into the sky. She just follows him and smiles i think, though i'd have to check it again to be 100% sure.

i dont understand why some of you are searching in every scene for something that is not there.

^In bed, watching T.V, doing the dishes, working late, out with friends. He could be anywere who cares?

Obviously, I care if I'm asking the question. That's still Lois and Richard's home(not Superman's) and Superman showed up uninvited. I just feel bad for Richard because he's actually been "always around" for Jason while Superman has not. But it now seems that Richard will slowly but surely get pushed out of the picture, hence me asking the question, where was Richard at the end?

Richard was obviously sleeping, Lois was up late working on her article and Jason was sleeping. Richard will most likely not get pushed out of the picture, and if he does, it will have to only be used as a plot device to move the story forward.

Exactly. And do you ever think Superman maybe used his discretion, he didnt know whether Richard now knew Jason wasnt his son, so he visited Jason discreatly in case Richard didnt know.

That's why we need Jerry Springer to straighten this out, hehe, j/k. I just don't like the sneaking around, it's not his house.

Why can't all 3 be there for Jason (Lois=Martha, Richard=Jonathon, Superman=Jor-El)? I mean I don't think they are setting him up as a good, strong person for nothing

Plus he just wanted to see the son he didn't know he had. I can buy the negative thoughts if he was an evil drunk but he isn't and she told him for a reason. Maybe so he could go and see him hmmm....

and hell for all we know she could have invited him to come see him when he gets better. We didn't hear exactly what she told him, we only know that she told him who Jason was and that was just implied by their actions

That's fair.

The reason I think she looks at the kid is that you see a shot of him right before. Its like she is looking at her son through different eyes now.

actually i thought that they show first jason looking at superman and than lois.

I would have to watch it again, the only time I remember her looking at the kid was when he says "Bye"

Yeah thats right, i watched it last night, and i think she just follows Superman through the sky, she doesnt necessarily look at Jason.

You know what, you're right, Superman should've knocked on the door to politely ask if he can visit his son. Then Richard would be like "What do you mean 'your son'?" and Superman would be like "Well this is awkward.."

Cleaning his visor.:cyclops:

And I haven't been here long enough to know if this was brought up before but, Is that Aquaman on Jason's jammies?

I believe so. I think there's a similar scene in Batman Begins. Batman is in the Narrows and before he enters the apartment and gets set on fire by the Scarecrow, you can see Batman pajamas hanging from one of the lines.

Ah Man! I never noticed that. I'll check that out tonight, since Smalvilles a rerun.
