I've actually been enjoying A-Next a lot more than ASG for some strange reason. All the characterization in New A-Next was excellent, everyone on the team or Sylene herself, was given a stand out personality, and actual motivations. And the entire book from the story about good guys fighting bad guys *gasp!* with actual colorful comic book art, took me back to a much simpler time
Meanwhile in ASG, my major gripe is May's life isn't really in either crime fighting or the Parker homestead, its caught in between with her school and social life. And I could live with that, if the social life, actually consisted of more than Eugene *****ing, and Davida telling him to ****. Peter barely shows up in each issue, and M.J's purpose now is to walk around with Ben and check in on May. Characters like Felicity(glared at May in issue 1)Kaine, Normie, and Brenda have all vanished entirely from the story. The book is still quite good, character wise, art wise, and story wise but it needs that extra umph! to make me sweat out Wednesdays again
