"you weren't lost in Hannibal's bowels Bedelia, you just crawled so far up his ass that you couldn't be bothered to get out."

That was probably the best thing I took away from the Will/Bedelia interactions. Zachary Quinto was wasted.

that line had me like

i agree. i didn't think quinto's part would be that short , or even that
he would end up being the patient that bedelia murdered.
didn't fuller hype him up alot too ?

At least Quinto finally did more than just have a cameo as "that dead guy with familiar looking eyebrows". :p

Can I just say how amazing the score is for this season? Reitzell needs to get on that OST.

It really is. Particularly in [BLACKOUT]dat sex scene. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)[/BLACKOUT]

Re: Hannibal giving Will's address to Dolarhyde, just because this incarnation of Hannibal "loves" Will, it hasn't stopped him from setting him up on collision courses with serial killers multiple times before.

Mikkelsen's Hannibal has done all kinds of extremely twisted **** to Will. I'm not sure how much true comprehension of "love" he's really capable of.

I thought this episode was really strong and the Bedelia/Will stuff was important to sorta tie-up Bedelia's storyline in the show as well as to tell Will something new about himself that was beyond Hannibal. Will isn't like Hannibal, but his opposite.

That being said, the best parts were clearly between Francis and Reba. The score during the tiger scene was fantastic. It was simultaneously horrifying yet mystical, and the way Armitage reacted when sher reached for the tiger's mouth...scary. Now that I think about it, there was quite a bit of hands and mouths this episode.

I think this sex scene was the best of the series. But really only because of the Red Dragon tattoo. I think it was cool how the Red Dragon looked like it was consuming Reba, and while see Reba literally become the woman clothed in sun was a bit on the nose, I think all the Dolarhyde moments do a great job of showing, rather than telling. I think with a character as visceral as the Tooth Fairy, Fuller and co. have a fun time of coming up with ways to show rather than tell.

I hope they're going to follow the book on this, but I realize that maybe the most chilling line I ever read might be too heavy-handed for a character we all know well. And in the book Lecter's being quoted anyway, but I was waiting for it...

I was planning to skip Toronto Fan Expo this year to save some money. Then I learned Mads will be there. Now I'm like a mix of :mrk: and  and :( right now.

The show has yet to address Jack's feelings on Hannibal/Miriam Lass after the revelation, right?

I'm rewatching S1... It's funny how I forgot everything with Abigail happened so early. It's neat to hear some great lines being replicated or homaged during this current season.

Especially the whole beer thing, it's funny how many times she drank it. When I thought it was a one of thing...

Yea, it kinda bums me out they've never really mentioned Miriam since she shot Chilton. Mainly just because Anna Chlumsky is just so amazing but, still.

I think Miriam was there to just give us some weird Clarice surrogate before Fuller made Will that completely. I do think it'd be nice to mention her though, and I suppose if the series focused more on Jack again she'd easily be able to come back in visions and dreams. Maybe if we ever get another season and we get closer to Silence of the Lambs?

Another cool easter egg from Fuller's livetweeting. Quinto's character choking on his tongue was apparently done to give more context to Miggs' death in Silence of the Lambs. I always wondered how Hannibal managed to make him do that in Silence of the Lambs.

[BLACKOUT]Molly and Walter evading Dolarhyde was wonderfully done and suspenseful.[/BLACKOUT]

Something I just finished. Just in time for the big comic con here. Both Mads and Gillian will be in attendance.

Really? I found it to be very much the opposite: cliche, lacking in tension, and I feel that the sequence dragged on too long.

That episode wrecked me. Poor Will, Hannibal is a ****. It's so cool to see their relationship get here after all we've been through.

Plus, who knew Rutina could act? True Blood always made her so terrible... I love that Fuller has taken advantage of her talent and have hope for her to be great in a Arrow.

The hate I had for Rutina in True Blood was pretty staggering, but yeah she really shines in this role. The relationship between Reba and Francis in the show might be my favourite version depicted yet.

The main thing I'm hoping for is that we get some flashbacks to Francis' childhood. They've mostly avoided it so far, but hopefully we get some in next episode.

I think that is why I disliked the overly long home invasion scene. What did it add? Just about nothing. Yes, we got some nice hospital scenes, but Molly and Will's relationship is already sufficiently developed and simply having the FBI get wise to Dolarhyde's plan and evacuate them in the dead of night is equally rattling to the relationships. It wasn't needed.

Meanwhile, Dolarhyde's backstory hasn't been explored at all and Hannibal's motivation for anything he is doing is at best unclear. WHY does he suddenly hate Will? Antman mentioned its cool to see the relationship reach this point but WHY is it at this point? Where is Hannibal's contempt toward someone he gave up his freedom for coming from?

It is interesting how the past two episodes have felt so much like filler. 3.5 should be the tightest story of the series. It is pre-crafted and Fueller always knew he had a box of episodes to tell it in. Yet it is the least structured narrative of the show's run. I find that curious.

Will won't be Hannibal's any more, mans Hannibal can't/won't kill him himself... So, he's using TGRD at his advantage and tried to take out the replacement family Will has built himself. How is this hard to understand? Hannibal is jealous and now angry at Will.

Episode 11 "...And the Beast from the Sea" I liked the Dolarhyde and Hannibal scene to open the episode and the CGI transformation looked great. Dolarhyde watching the footage of Will's family was creepy as hell and I couldn't help but feel sorry for Reba. I thought Hannibal's comment about The Tooth Fairy contacting him through personal ads and messages written on toilet paper was a nice nod. Great suspense during the scenes where Dolarhyde stalks Will's family. Dolarhyde beating himself bloody while battling the Red Dragon in his mind was pretty cool. Loved seeing Hannibal in the mask! So sad there are only two episodes left.

Yeah, this.

I can't believe there are only 2 episodes left. At this point, I'm just glad a show like this exists.

I wanted to watch last night episode this morning. But it was all messed up. It has all these digital streaks across it and it jumps. Every now and then I get this problem with my cablevision. Waiting for it to go OnDemand.

I'm one of the rare people who really like Rutina on true blood. I loved it when she turned & the whole family dynamic. Glad to see her playing a different character too. She has range
