Loved Drax in this. I wanted Mamoa for Drax but Bautista was excellent, blew my expectations away. Loved the way he spoke and the reaction it got from the other characters.

Couldnt agree more, on 2nd viewing I was actually shocked at how good he is as Drax.

Think i was a little harsh on the portrayal of Drax after my 1st viewing as well, I thought he came across a bit weak, especially against Ronan, but you do Ronan wince in pain when Drax does land a few punches in their fight. Plus, at the end when Ronan swats the whole team with his hammer in the Dark Aster, Drax is the only one to get straight back up and confront Ronan.

If this rumor is true, I hope that it means that Drax will be getting his comic book origin, instead of him being another generic big savage strong alien warrior.
