Easy AF. Actually, it's quite opposite. There's nothing easy about making a great fantasy film/series. Requires insane amount of talent, work and luck. That's why truly great fantasy films can be counted by fingers on one hand.

The point is, it isn't impossible. If the material is worth adapting, it isn't some impossible task that we need to apologize for. Damnit, Chris Columbus did it.

Well, just got my tickets for opening weekend (seeing it on it's first Saturday (the 11th) in the early afternoon), regardless of reviews/RT score - I'm still looking forward to this

Im not sure how successful those first two films really are on their own. Much of the aesthetic for the series did t really come until the third.

They did well in terms of reviews, and both are in the top 3 in terms of tickets sold. The first is #1.

I personally love them. I love the warmth. POA and OoTP are my favorites, but the first two really captured the tone of the books and translated them beautifully to the big screen imo.

I mean obviously the films were financially successful but just in terms of world building its really hard for me to separate out my experience with the books from the movies as far as how well the first two movies established that world. Hogwarts was certainly pretty well realized I guess.

God the movie is being clobbered. Even if it makes money off of the international market the reviews are still pretty embarrassing.

2016 is a weird year for summer movies. It's crowded but with meh movies. It aint Summer of 2008.

With the exception of Finding Dory and to a lesser extent The Conjuring 2 June is looking like Flop City. And May wasn't amazing either. This summer is looking more dire than usual. I guess that's what happens when 3 of the so-called blockbusters were two sequels nobody asked for and a videogame movie. X-Men is under performing because it's not a good movie.

ehh magneto's parts were more of the same. There needed to be way more of evan's quicksilver and the new kids. The rest was just unnecessary. The script was weak as hell.

I'm looking forward to Trek and Bourne. Because it won't be a big summer, many of these movies MIGHT benefit. Who knows

Reading some of the reviews, doesnt sound as bad as the 19% makes it out to be. Just sounds like people were a little disappointed.

Could still be an entertaining flick.

Yeah, the reviews are calling it a contender for worst movie of the year and the average is putrid.

I want it to be good. But yeah, the trailers have turned me off a lot. Spy had poor trailers, but didn't have anything that made me actively not want to see it. The Ghostbusters trailers do.

Bourne is probably the only movie this summer that I'm genuinely interested in. Not a particularly exciting blockbuster year.

The jerks will always be wrong though. If it's a bad movie it won't be because the cast is female.
