The issue is that the director moved the scar. Giving him a small scar or even no scar would have been fine because it's canon that bacta can heal wounds phenomenally well. But wounds don't typically move across a person's body. And that's what's happened in this situation. Kylo now has a scar in an area of his face that wasn't injured. And he has no scar in an area where Rey's lightsaber slashed through his face.

Visual continuity errors irk film nerds. So it's not surprising this will bother some people. I can dismiss visual continuity errors when they are accidental or serve some sort of purpose in the film. But moving the scar was a dumb way to deal with the supposed "goofiness" of the original injury.

i dont know why people want to be so spoiled when they go into movies or shows or whatever. i want to still be able to be surprised when i go see a movie so i avoid as many spoilers as i can. sometimes i avoid trailers too

Depending on the film spoilers don't bother me. Horror films and thrillers I like to be spoiler free. With random non fandom films I dont actively search for spoilers. But I love star was spoilers. The build-up to a film's release is part of the experience for me. I enjoy hunting down spoilers, speculating with fans, and partaking in the fandom and hype before the film comes out. I'd feel like I was missing part of the experience if I didn't join in the fun.

I knew pretty much all of TFA, including how when and where Han died, before I went to watch it and my enjoyment wasn't lessened. Knowing what happens and seeing it happen are two different things for me.

That was never going to be much of a surprise for me. It's been no secret for decades that Ford was reluctant to return to the role for ROTJ and that he wanted the character to die, but Lucas refused. So when it was announced that he was returning for TFA I began to think part of JJ's pitch to Ford was JJ agreeing to finally kill Han.

Plus, JJ wasn't exactly being subtle about Han's death. Everything about that scene in the reactor practically screams Han is going to die and there is the scene of Leia telling Han to bring back their son. That was a red flag right there. So even if I had been entirely spoiler free and didn't know about Ford wanting Han to die decades ago I would have realized Han was going to die before it actually happened.

Thankfully tho even knowing it was coming, I was still emotionally effected by it when I actually got to see it. Even on repeat viewings it's depressing and infuriating and entirely effective.

I'm much more southern than you geographically but the only part of FL that is "southern" is the panhandle and the redneck areas between all the big cities that nobody ever stops in except for gas as they drive through the state.
