Maybe you don't like the recent stories of Spidey, but fans like me, do! So stop raining on our parade. Comics are supposed to be enjoyable not a platform to air your concerns. And don't bother saying- 'why do I read stories like the other or otherwise if i want an enjoyable read.' Because I DO enjoy the characterisation of spidey nowadays.

It's true he's changed...but if we want the 'teenage' spidey, we can all read the 40 + years gone by. He can't be stuck in a loop.

True, but what if you want to follow the recent issues? Yuo may not agree with what the writers write, but it's still the history of spider-man.

I see what you're saying and I agree with ypu to an extent...but I still follow the more faithful aspect of spidey as well as the recent stories.

Yes, pretty ironic that when savemarvel was confronted with an opinion that differed from his that he had to resort to comparing posters to "abused women".

See it's OK for you, savemarvel, or any of his "crew" to call people Marvel Zombies and fluff them off instead of having a true debate over it. But I suppose that it makes it OK since you have to hate everything about the current goings on in Spider-Man. That because of fan says, "Oh, hey I like the unmasking and the stories told so far". But that automatically makes them a Marvel zombie then? Hmm, I guess some of that logic is lost on me. I don't recall anybody kissing Joe Quesada's ass or saying that everything that goes on in a Spider-Man book these days is gold.

No, I just see guys wanting to state that their not disowning Marvel over a decision with one of their ficitional characters. They like the stories coming out now and the excitement that they provide, as do I.

But it's OK for you to resort to "name calling" and "harrass" posters because you DISLIKE Spider-Man. But anybody who LIKES Spider-Man these days isn't allowed to say anything, huh? They're just Marvel Zombies who suck off Joe Quesada, eh? But that makes SO MUCH sense, right?

Actually, all the arguments posted by people who share my opinion have been cogent and coherent whereas those on the opposite side simply return with cries of marvel zombie over and over. There's no argument on their side, just the same stupid response over and over. Doesn't exactly make them glittering jewels of intellect now, does it?

If I wanted to resort to insults I'd just tell you to kiss me where the skin turns pink and eat the corn out of my s***. That would at least make the thread entertaining.

I didn't call you anything, or anybody else anything. Maybe other posters in the thread have swore at you or dropped, to the level that you and savemarvel have already gone to.

And I don't cry about it. I know I'm not a Marvel Zombie. It's why I laughed at you when you first called me it. I read just as many DC and independent comics as I do Marvel.

I just find it funny that you're the one bringing up name calling, yet savemarvel has pretty much stated that if you buy the current Spider-Man books that you're like "an abused woman". And when they counter with a well thought out opinion on why they like the material they're met with, "Yeah, typical Marvel Zombie statement".

No actual debate, just a poster who has nothing else to say, but has to further use an insult to make him or her look like they're "right". When really none of us are really right. Maybe to each of our own minds we're right because we all like what we want to like.

But just because someone likes what is going on in Spider-Man right now doesn't make them a Marvel Zombie or a "follower of Joe Quesada". It just means they dig whats going on.

Trust me, you'll see a real Marvel Zombie when you see one. And I may have disagreed with a lot of posters on these boards in the past but many of them can vouch for me that I'm not a Marvel Zombie, that my opinions my be skewed to them, but I don't blindly love everything that Marvel does, or their decisions on the characters.

You buy what you want to buy. Doesn't make you wrong if you are enjoying everything you're getting.
