Love the name. I do boycott but just spidey stuff. I still read spider-girl but they are cancelling that:csad: Until they say OMD didn't happen I won't buy and spidey books.

Spider-Girl's adventures will be continuing each month in Spider-Man Family.

What is spider-man family? Does it have 616 spidey in it? Cause if it does i'm not reading it.

it does, it's a mixed bag. Frankly without support May Day will probably be gone for good. So bite the bullet and pick it up, if you want you can rip out and hand back the pages with 616 pete to the store guy. That's actually a hell of a statement.

Yeah but it would never get back to the publisher. I swore I wouldn't do it, if he's in it....I don't think I can do it even for May.

if it get's a nice enough bump it might. The only thing I'm directly boycotting is ASM, all the other spider-man related stuff since OMD (spider-man SI, venom dark origins, NA) are crappy enough for me to have never bothered with regardless. The only stuff I'm reading where Pete's been featured post OMD has been Iron Man and Avengers/Invaders.

Attention!

I am making my own stand....

In the face of the steroid scandal that has shaken America to its core... I am hereby boycotting NFL Superpro!!!

Wow, what a bold, courageous move on my part (and if I might say so myself, I would like to dedicate the proceeds I save from buying all future NFL Superpro books to restoring little Jimmy's shattered faith in professional sports).

Together... WE can make a difference!

The more you know. :star:

No one seems interested in it, but im enjoying Avengers/Invaders quite a bit.

I loves me some WWII Human Torch! :word:

So....you're willing to let a character you enjoy go off into that good night, just to prove apoint to Marvel, who will not notice it?

Man, Spider-Man Family is an ANTHOLOGY book. They RARELY last. Hell, Spider-Man Family has already been cancelled and relaunched since BND, and before that, it was a series of arbitrary one-shots. This book could go poof at any moment, and with it, Mayday. And believe they wouldn't even bother trying to bring her back again.

Just bite the bullet and spend an extra 2 bucks a month, don't read the crap, and enjoy Mayday's continuing adventures. If there is a sales spike when Spider-Girl comes into ASM:Family, then at least it will be proven that the audience will stick with her.

It's a great book. Ross has never been my favorite guy to write marvel (mainly for butchering Pete in the X series) but this has been good, surprisingly good. The story is entertaining and actually more complex than first glance. The fights have been good, even making kid bucky seem badass. Spidey is funnier and more effective here than he's been in years (bendis this is how you write Peter Parker in a team book). "Is it hoarry with a W?". And finally they had the human torch make the sentry cry fire which was a refreshing change up on his super crying powers.

And yeah the human torch getting upset about the LMDs was a clever twist, especially with logan being the one that reminded him of the nazis.

I've read the first 2 issues of Avengers/Invaders, but I'm waiting ti read it in one sitting...

I'm still getting the books...

:yay:

Not to mention that they print classic stories. And somtimes the 616 stuff doesn't even deal with BND continuity, I've read three issues and only one issue, the current one deals with it, the previous two dealt with Peter starting out with Spidey. [Probably should mention to pro-BND readers that the current issue deals with Harry's return and explains where Peter and Aunt May were living when their house was destroyed]

Ironically enough though is that the non-BND stuff dealt with BND characters, in Mr. and Mrs. Spider-Man by Tom DeFalco Carlie and Vin show up.

Yes. Yes I will. If it has a shot of possibly saving the character that got me into comics I will let die a character I love. It bares mentioning they ignore the whole clone story so poor May will never make it too 616 and she would not even be possible if not for spiderman and MJ being together so SCREW Marvel and their Spiderman!

I am Arach Knight and I DO NOT approve of this message. In fact, this is a gross use of Spidey's highly under used alias and my own user name. If I could sue for infringement...I would.
