There was little to discuss and this forum was split into people wanting FOX to loose rights and those wanting to be patiant. Now i have to have discussions with those people who still just want FOX to loose FF. It's going to be sooooo booring, i have to wait for the movie to come out to get a good discussion here! :oldrazz:

I would put more blame on Moderators not keeping things civil and throwing those ban hammers.

:csad:

The Keep Hope Alive thread was closed so hope is gone. Now we just want to rag on a bad trailer and what is looking more and more like a bad movie. So sue us!

Who's not being civil? You're entitled to like what you see and we're entitled not to.

When we have people accusing people of not "reading good comics" and whatnot, it becomes bothersome. Noone here can just let someone like something or dislike, everyone is a drone or a sympathizer or a fanatic or some cult member or a fanboy of this and thats.

I liked the Hope thread because i found it civil.

That sounds like conspiracy theorist talk to me. Take off the tinfoil hat, weirdo. :argh:

Sooo.. About Borg-Reed. Who here thinks he'll stretch anything except his arms in a fight?

Well I liked the Hope thread the most too but if you think about it even stating what is a "good comic" or not is totally subjective. I don't see that as an accusation. I guess it depends on how it's said. But yeah Ultimate Fantastic Four was not a good comic. :halo:

Ultimate FF was nauseating to me.
I actually gave away the few issues I got, and I've kept some stinkers in my collection.

So the Thing lacking his wrestling undies is a huge deal too. Moar. Moar, by all means. :woot:

In a vacuum no one change is a deal breaker. But once you start adding up the enormous number of "artistic enhancements" performed on the FF by Trank, it seems quite apparent that the filmmaker (and the studio as well) is either embarrassed by the classic source material or out and out loathes it.

I have to wonder why he even took the job. Trank had to sound like the one of the most passionless directors I've seen describing his movie in that trailer commentary. It was almost like Kinberg was there to keep him from running off the set.

Maybe when he gets angry he'll turn into the Thing. Just like that other famous comic character that does that. (I mean Beast of course.)

Thats exactly what i dont want.
And i get the feeling Reed will only be able to stretch his arms and legs.

I don't know how anybody can get "bad movie" from this teaser. IMO, it was a good teaser - did its job well. The GA are talking about it positively (they're the primary target after all, so that's good) and it looks pretty good.

Now I know that good teaser does not equal good movie, but I stand by my belief that while it may be a decent or even good film... it'll probably fail as a Fantastic Four movie. But, even though I'm a huge fan of the 616 F4 and I do want them to be adapted properly, I can enjoy a decent movie that is F4INO.

Heck, I do that every time I watch X1. :oldrazz:

So yeah, my 2 cents.

Legs too going by the 'springs' on his 'containment suit'.

What could possibly be the point of those stupid things? Maybe RINO without the suit is like some rubbery, shapeless mass, unable to maintain human form? much like miles teller

I think when Reed gets angry he should turn into this:

Well, that would be pretty gritty.

Nah it was pretentious, dour, unoriginal, moody dreck. IMO anyway. The dark hallways were cool though.

I used to be able to do that. For me the world has moved on, and proper adaptations have replaced half-hearted attempts. But I won't begrudge your ability to do so.

So yeah, my 2 cents.

This is how you present a post without insulting everyone around you. Onlookers take note.

Moody? Really?

I mean, yeah... the teaser was more serious than most of us fans would like for an F4 movie, but moody? I just don't see it. But hey, to each their own. :)

I do agree that it was unoriginal though - very... interstellar-esque (probably to make people think "hey, that movie was great... so this should also be great").

Is it just me or did Miles Teller sound like his voice hadn't hit puberty yet in the trailer?

Let's just say I didn't get this kind of vibe from it:

The fact that the Thing looks exactly like he does in the comics carries more weight as a counterargument to that than "no undies" does as an argument, I'd say.
