wait so were essentially getting the story film just with darker colors?

How can u mess up DOOM again and with the same problems from the the story films?

but I know I must give this new direction a chance :whatever:

I think that the window between Spidey releases is tighter than those for the FOX films. While FOX appears to have 7 years or so between flicks - this may have been adjusted upward as part of the Mutant X settlement - Sony's appears to be a couple of years shorter. After Raimi's SM4 fell apart the studio scrambled to get the Webb film into theaters before the clock ran out.

honestly.. that's just haters here-say... Im a huge spidey fan and have always followed the films.. there was no sense or articles on "sony losing the rights" people created that truth stretch to make more sense out of there distaste. and find something to blame for its short comings.

RE: who's on the missions. From the trailers I see:

White Suits:
- at least 4 people
- 3 are: Reed, Doom, Ben

Black Suits:
- Looks like 6 people (Which is weird because it still looks like there's 4 pods but maybe these are roomier versions?)
- Reed crawling through the wreckage looks like he's wearing a black suit but to be fair maybe it's just a really dirty white suit.

Sue could be in Bruce Banner situation where she goes into the room to get the machine back across the dimension. The image of Reed in the suit crawling out of wreckage means something exploded when they came back.
I could see something like that happening. One thing I've noticed in the trailers is that Sue seems to be using computers a lot. Maybe she's needed on the Earth-side for the mission.

Cronenberg-ier.

:funny:

I thought it was odd that we keep hearing Cronenberg, Cronenberg, Cronenberg.

After all, Cronenberg made sometimes artsy but mostly gory schlock.

Then I started thinking more about it and the idea that this whole thing is a joke by Trank in which he's re-making the first FF Film.

Then it hit me - Cronenberg isn't all that different from Roger Corman. Trank's not just remaking the first Tim Story FF film, he's throwing in elements of the Corman film.

It's all starting to make sense . . .

I found today that Starwood Prefered Guest(SPG) is holding an auction for somebody to have a screening of Fantastic Four Aug 5 in their hometown. This auction is only for those living in North America and Canada. Which doesn't make a lot of sense since Canada is apart of North America. I digress they can host it at the theater of their choice and invite up to a 100 of their closes friends again on Aug 5. A full two days before the global release. The current highest bid is 101,281 Star points which is about $3500. https://auction.starwoodhotels.com/moments/momentdetails/1218

Well, they have to get it into theaters somehow...

If you haven't seen the animated series Rick and Morty, you owe it to yourself to check it out. This episode in particular:

Fox and their weird promo deals...

There is only one clear shot of Johnny in a white suit and thats from before the mission, however at 1:02 in the second trailer there is a shot of all four in the white suits. Going from left to right I would say its Domachev, Johnny, Reed then Ben.

And yeah I did think that at first the Reed crawling shot was him in a dark suit but I'm pretty sure its just burned and covered in dirt and soot from the explosion.

As for the dark suited team I suspect that they are a military team that get sent through later, either as a military operation or in an attempt to get more people with powers, and that they all die or just vanish, and don't contain anyone important to the story.

I've generally wondered if the dark-suited team and nicer-looking pods are a military operation that attempts to cross before Reed gets involved. From Elder's comments in the beginning of the second trailer, it sounds like they've been trying for a while.

I suspect we might see something like a big-budget effort by the government that fails and then Reed patches together the cheap-looking device at the Baxter building and that's the one that actually works.

3500 dollars?! Or higher?!

Man they're gonna be pissed when they see the movie.

I think it's supposed to be $35.00. They just forgot the decimel.

mostly recycled but the key shot is the first fluid shot of the thing walking with the the rest of the team

Thing looks pretty good in that new tv spot. They need to release a trailer..

But this is contemporary, grounded and gritty and full of diversity.

A billion dollars easily, will beat out Jurassic World, this is going to be Star Wars, Godfather and Dark Knight rolled into one.

Gritty

Jk. This looks terrible.

If the kronan in Thor Dark World had looked this bad MCU haters would've had a field day!
that and the Thing looks only a foot taller than Teller in the scene so I guess Fox still can't make up their minds about his height.

Mara looks stiff as a board, Teller looks like he's being moved by strings and MBJ just said eff it!

I'm sorry the chemistry in this trailer is horrible it doesn't even look like a movie. I thought is was one of those 5 gum commercials.

Yeah it looks pretty good. Come to think of it, just came back from watching Jurassic World at my local theater and saw a pretty big ass Fantastic Four board cutout or whatever they call it.

I don't know what's taking them so long with the final trailer. Asked Gabe again, he said it's out there.

LOL Exactly!

Thought I needed new contacts the way some were praising it but it appears my 20/20 is fine.

Still skipping this film.

They are using the Thing drop like MCU used the Banner/Hulk drop. I noticed they are taking a couple of things from the MCU, like their logo and putting it front and center, even bigger than the Fox logo. *tsk*tsk*:nuhu:
