Is it possible that the Thing lacking voice modulation is just another sign of a rush job (or lazyness) with the international trailer, like the fact that it uses both new and old versions of the N-Zone shots?

But you know its bad right? Hence the "all that bad" line.lol

Actually, I think it looks quite good, but I feel slight pressure to really give this a thumbs up considering the vast majority strongly dislike it. I honestly think this looks better than half of the films that fans sing praise for and look forward to.

Modifying the voice may have come off wrong. It's possible they tried it and it didn't work.

You seriously like this?:whatever:
Psylock voiced excitement every time, what's so surprising or special about this post to be quoted?

Is this really that hard? Huh? Come on FOX

Actually, I'm glad Dr Bloggashev looks like that. When this turkey bombs in the box office and goes back to Marvel, we can finally get a proper looking Dr Doom right where he belongs.
After Marvel got the rights for Daredevil and deserved getting praise for their Netflix season, I will cheerfully say this:
Good luck getting what you want. :)

Also from the soundtrack listing it doesn't look like they are even calling the Negative Zone the N-Zone. It's Planet Zero.
With all the changes they made, it's not a shocker to drop the N-Zone name.

From my understanding, the Negative Zone has multiple planets within itself. At least, that's my reading from the Marvel Wiki.

Well yes there are planets but I don't recall ever reading about a Planet Zero. That must be new.

"Better than half" makes it mediocre which is exactly what it looks like to me.

It looks very familiar and not special in any way. It looks like a generic superhero film, and there's not one moment in the trailer to make me say: "Wow!" or "I've never seen that before!"

The reason I became a fan of FF is it did give me those feelings. A mediocre film doesn't interest me. I'd like something that doesn't feel like a bunch of scenes from other films clipped together.

I really don't think this looks all that bad. I think most complainers are just ********* that this isn't very comic-accurate.

I think it's moreso about it not being MCU or 616-based.

Yep, he'll look just like 616 Doom... and have a different origin thats in-accurate to that version (like Stane, Red Skull, Ronan, Malekith, Whiplash, Mandarin & Ultron) and probably a comedy writer for his villain speeches and of course die in the first movie without any character development as the heroes get all of that.

"You can't fix this, nobody can" or something like that

Wow. Maybe they haven't finalized the voice yet but otherwise what a glaring mistake.

The international trailer was actually a little better but it then devolved into the same identity crisis with unfunny humor.

I did find it curious that in both trailers, they kept Kate Mara's laugh scene but removed the "Hermxsch!" at the end.

I actually think this film will have splashes of greatness (there is talent involved after all) but the entire product overall is a complete mess. I've said it before but again I think MBJ will be a standout in the film. But it's not like great actors have never starred in lousy films before.

I think Kate Mara will be the standout, Aside from Jessica Alba's acting in the first 2, the character IW herself seemed so weak and they didn't show her powers off well at all. Apart from the wig, everything else I've seen from Invisible Woman has been positive, no cheesy lines and seems like the most powerful.

I also think MBJ will be great, but Chris Evans Human Torch was the best thing about the original 2

Which one is Planet Zero then?

There isn't specifically a Planet Zero named from the comics but there are other names such as Ootah or Tyanna.

So, they made a planet name up, okay. So we'll add this to the pile with every single other comic book movie in the past eight years that made something up for the movie.

Why do the flashback scenes look like they're set in the 1960s? They tried too hard to date things, it looks like an episode of The Wonder Years. They're only going back 10-15 years, tops.

It has a very self conscious design and I think that goes back to Trank's comments about Amblin.

The big Amblin films were in the '80s and I think Trank wants that opening part with the kids to look like Amblin - so big, clunky TV and VCR in the classroom. CRT TV in the house and the house generally looking like something from the '80s.

Those things along with things like the father wearing a baseball cap while just hanging out on the couch in the evening just look unnatural and wrong.

It all seems over-stylized and trying to look like other films rather than trying to look like real people in real situations.

I'm not high on Mara. Never was. She doesn't scream Sue Storm to me at all. They cast her just to throw fans a bone because she resembles her comic counterpart the most. I always thought MBJ was the best choice of the cast ironically enough considering all the racism nonsense. His lines in the trailers have been the best.

Tim Blake Nelson as Harvey Elder makes me cringe. He's like trying to be Agent Smith or something.

It's not a huge deal but if they never call it the Negative Zone or if Planet Zero is in fact just a planet elsewhere in our universe then that is beyond lame.

"What if we say no?"

"Say yes."

Josh Trank's mantra for filming this movie!

As miscast as this film is in general, Tim Blake Nelson as Suit Man is probably the worst. Friggin' Wayne Knight would have been a better Mole Man, especially if they were going Ultimate.
