so from what ive seen on twitter fox has went ape **** at negative reviews breaking the embargo but have went and released the movie early in the uk

do they understand a thing called the interent


also i knew this would be crap but is it true we actually get an emo dr doom sitting in a hoody brooding in a basement

I really liked Ant-Man so I wouldn't mind Peyton Reed. And I agree, give Fox X-Men TV rights or something and get the F4 back as quickly as possible to plan for a future film.

Look on the bright side, the reason Brad Bird is busy until 2019? The Incredibles 2.

For what it's worth, I thought I'd hate it but part of me wondered whether the press might rally around it in a 'little engine that could' way and paint it as a rough diamond.

If Marvel got the rights back, and that's still a massive if, surely they'd just have the characters cameo in other movies until they've build up an appetite for another solo film.

I'd be very wary of them launching the franchise right off the bat, Marvel seal of approval or no.

if marvel gets the rights back it could be interesting what way they take it with how its shown they have plans for spider-man. i mean arnt peter and johnny meant to be the same age

So, who y'all want as the antagonist(s) in a theoretical reboot? Lately I'm leaning towards some giant monster stuff. Heck, open the film on an action scene with an already established FF in a direct homage to this:

I am too. The one thing I thought might save this film was that they might encounter and battle some creatures in the negative zone.

Ideally, the FF should be encountering interesting threats in interesting places. This film did the opposite with them sitting in bunkers and battling a boring threat in a barren landscape.

Monsters, exotic settings, exploration and not another origin story. That's what I'd like to see.

Kinda, Doom is in a dark and dingy shack somewhere with loads of screens. Not too sure what he is doing but he has a very scruffy look. I think he may have been wearing a hoody.

I wonder if they will let the rights revert back to Marvel. I'm sure that the success of Daredevil has to bother the people at Fox a little bit. Fox obviously thought very little of Daredevil, and that's why they let the rights slip, but Marvel was able to turn it into a very successful TV show. It would make Fox look bad if Marvel showed them up again. So they might try to redo the FF every seven years until they either get it right or the superhero movie fad ends.

Reed would be nice. Thought he did a great job with Ant-Man too.

But imagine a Fantastic Four movie with a similar tone to Guardians of the Galaxy. Think James Gunn would make an epic F4 film if given the opportunity.

Your not the first to point that out, some even suggest the recent marketing was built around portraying the movie and its makers as victims.

What did they except, the public have seen it in several countries...

Superman Returns was mostly liked by critics, even Quentin Tarantino found it good.

Saying The Fantastic Four aren't meant for live-action movies is silly. Of course they are. A great Fantastic Four movie is possible, which is why this and the other two disasters have been so frustrating.

Fantastic Four are a lay up of a film franchise you've just had incompetence surrounding it. You could easily make a good, successful FF franchise
