Fast & Furious 7 - Part 1

Part 10 will be in space & space ship races & heist instead of cars

Not entirely sure if I like the sound of that TBH... Could see a lot of the cast deciding not to continue, which ends up with a Tokyo Drift sort of thing with a new cast not necessarily being welcomed by the audiences

This is the only franchise they have now. Technically they have so much more in the stable but nothing guaranteed to turn a profit.

Eventually, they're gonna run out of ideas. Action scenes will cease to be fresh and exciting. Same with story.

As long as it's entertaining I'll take as much Fast and Furious as they want to give me.

If I am honest, 6 already felt old. Like an extremely odd rehash of the 5. And really, Fast 5 is the only legit good movie in the bunch, though I do like the the original and the last 3.

Fast 8 will reveal Dominic is really an alien named Riddick hence why he can do all these amazing things. He will then challenge Martians to a drift race.

And he will end the race with the sentence "I am Groot."

The film is finished and got its MPAA rating today. PG-13 for "prolonged frenetic sequences of violence, action and mayhem, suggestive content and brief strong language."

Usually the F&F movies come down to the wire when it comes to completion. James Wan doesn't waste time, does he?

That MPAA rating is a perfect summary of the last few movies. I love it!

Probably a lot of editing of the existing footage during the delay.

'Bout to say. Furious 7 had a crapload of time for post.

That's true, but you'd have to factor in a considerable amount of post-production work for the reshoots involving Walker's brothers. I also think James Wan edited scenes during shooting to give the VFX houses more time to work, and see if any scenes needed more coverage. The original production and release date was on a SERIOUS time crunch, so I wouldn't be surprised if the editors were on set working full-stop.

I do like that the studios aren't always hurrying to complete their films days before the premiere, but have the pic ready for months. Getting down to the wire doesn't always mean a better product.

my 67 yr old mother just saw the trailer and is so excited about the movie she has brought it up twice today lol

Well, most of these actors ain't exactly being fought after by other directors. :woot:

And they get paid a lot of money. Vin gets around $20m per movie.

Tyrese isn't going nowhere.

I want the full-time return of Lucas Black and Bow Wow if they're gonna go on. That "One Last Ride" quote from the trailer really hit me the other day in terms of Toretto.

I don't know about Bow Wow, but Black signed a deal to appear in 7 and become a regular again for 8 and 9. It was when he was first announced officially.

bow wow just got a tv gig didn't he?
