I don't get why you liked Star Trek Into Darkness because what you say about Fast 6 are the exact correct criticisms of that film. It was a complete retread (that erased all of the character development of the last film) that treated it's female characters in a lackluster manner and had absurd nonsensical things like the Enterprise hiding under water. I just don't get it babe.

STID has a base level of quality work that allows me to enjoy it, even if I think the Khan angle didn't work quite how they wanted it to. I feel like there is a slight reset with Kirk, but far from a complete retread. And the character work is terrific. That is down to the quality of actors and director.
