Jesus, just admit the franchise is a fun car porno. With a few instances of psuedo-porno.

The stuff with Shaw hunting/stalking the team is definitely revenge thriller.

Yeah not sure how it will be like that, but it makes me want to watch Death Sentence again....now that was a gritty 70s revenge thriller.

"Going old school" - Brian

That sequence is going to be amazing!

Agreed, love the callback to the first movie! :D Not to mention Statham in full body armor and a fighter jet! :wow:

That is a very simple, but damn beautiful poster. Wish more franchises would balls up and understand you don't need to throw the kitchen sink at a print... cough Avengers cough.

The name alone could sell this and many others by this approach. That's why the Batman '89, BReturns (teaser), BTTF II (teaser) posters are my favorite of all time... they allude to something because simple imagery outweighs a couple people and action shoved in your face.

i wonder if any theatres are going to do anything special.
some do back to back shows with the previous installment, or give away posters, props etc

^If my theater did the whole franchise in one sitting, I wouldn't even hesitate. I didn't see the first 3 on the big screen.

i have seen every one in theatres, and i'm 90% sure all opening weekend if not midnight/opening day

We were at hockey camp the two weeks the first came out, I think I saw it like 5 times that summer. Went to 2 once, never saw TD in theaters and then went to all of the following at least once.

They've always managed to make good, simple posters.

i've always enjoyed the irony of that when compared to some of the over the top stunts and stuff these movies are known for

Man,, I'm ready to see Diesel and Statham's melee.

Which one? :oldrazz:

nice to see that charger smash free in the second photo

I love how they're both too stubborn to lose at chicken.

Letty: "Did you bring the cavalry?"
Hobbs: "Woman, I am the cavalry."

:lmao:

I'm pretty sure the latest tv spot where Dom is giving a voiceover is the final speech he gives to Brian after Brian and Mia decide to move somewhere else.

I might have to bring some tissues to the theater. I really think I might cry.

Anyone know how big Tony Jaa's part is in this? I gathered from a trailer that he's just in the opening action scene....

I don't know if I've seen this spot. Is it the "most important thing is family/that's what's real" quote? Or is this new dialogue?

I don't remember the exact quote but it was something like "Whether you're here or half a world away, you'll always be family"

It was very Brian-centric and ended with a shot of him in the car smiling at the screen. It was obvious though that it was one of his brothers and the CGI-ed the face.
