Just got back from seeing the movie. Enjoyed it a lot. Better than F&F 6 but not as good as F&F 5. A lot of cheese throughout the film and very ridiculous at times. They made Dom near indestructible. I thought I was looking at a Marvel movie. Look out Thor and Hulk, Torreto is coming for you. Not enough Statham in my opinion. Great send off to Paul Walker's character.

It might have been nice for the cast to end it here. Like how the Oceans cast said they won't do a fourth one because Bernie Mac passed away.

But I guess if everyone's happy to do it and they maintain the quality *shrug*.

Finally saw it tonight it definitely fired on all cylinders pardon the pun.

Universal: "Yeah, we know ending it here would be a good idea but...***** we gettin' paid."

This franchise will go on until they stop making money. It's the Friday the 13th of car movies.

I suspect it will become more or less its own entity, with spinoffs, tv shows, more video games, hell even a cartoon series. That last one I am shocked has never happened.

I am constantly amazed at how well this film is doing at the worldwide box office. A Fast and Furious movie might make 1.3billion dollars. Wow. As if the 788 million the last one made wasn't impressive enough.

‘Furious 7’ Hits $800 Million at Global Box Office in 12 Days
Movies | By Todd Cunningham on April 12, 2015 @ 8:47 am

The high-octane sequel breaks record with $68 million debut Sunday in China and takes in massive $195 million from overseas this weekend

“Furious 7” powered into the record books with debuts in China and Russia this weekend, raising its international total to $548 million and its global haul to $800 million after just 121 days in release.

Universal’s high-octane sequel was No. in all 67 countries in which it played this weekend and brought in a massive $195 million from overseas. The lifted the “Fast and Furious” franchise over the $3 billion at the worldwide box office.

It opened in China to 68.6 million on Sunday, the highest single-day total ever in that country. It took in $5 million from Imax theaters, another record.

Just unbelievable. I predicted 850 and well yeah it is going to easily blow past that number.

The film is currently running slightly ahead of the first Hunger Games domestically.

UN-believable. I am incredibly happy that this film is doing so well. $800 million, that is INSANE!! It absolutely deserves it, it is such an incredibly fun film. The Universal execs must be through the roof happy with this, I think it could be argued that this franchise saved that studio (seriously, what else do they have?)

The only downside is now this means they will milk this franchise for everything it is worth and we will keep seeing movies until it has diminishing returns and they've run out of ideas. Oh well, in my own mind, I consider Fast 1-7 to be its own complete story that I'll happily revisit again and again no matter what comes after this.

Im glad the movie is doing good but I wonder how much of its success has to do with people seeing it due to Pauls death.

Just like Heath Ledger's death helped The Dark Knight of course Walker's death is a factor. Walker's death doesn't entirely explain just how massive the overseas numbers are though as he wasn't some huge international star. I suspect his death is helping the domestic gross more than the international growth. I don't know anything though of course, I'm just guessing.

BTW, Remember the last film made 788million so the sequel was probably always going to make around 850+ mil worldwide.

The one issue with that comparison being that of quality, this installment of the franchise probably isn't the franchise/genre defining TDK of Fast and the Furious. It's not even Fast 5. Which is a shame for it probably would have been doing even more insane figures.
I'm glad universal has found a way to turn what could have been a disaster in to a clear win. They may give Disney a run for it's money at the end of the day this year. That is if Star Wars under performs.

The audience at large seems to be liking the film well enough. I think the figures are as good as they could possibly be for a seventh movie in a franchise. You could say that any film could be doing better if it were better.

Ppl are always shocked when these movies do well but always forget why. When you watch these movies, or atleast when I do, I feel like I'm watching a movie about family and bonding. So when you see all the over the top action and unrealistic situations you buy them because you love these ppl. When Paul Walker died everyone acted like they lost a brother. That's what these movies have done. When you see the family back at their home you feel like your a part of that too, like your home with them. Its a bond the cast have somehow found a way to extend to its audience. That's why this franchise thrives.

Beautifully said. Couldn't agree more.

Well said Man o Steel. That is exactly why these films work. You care about these characters and what happens to them. Also, lets call a spade a spade, guys. This film is a pure crowd pleasing fun film. I feel like you can judge a movie's success sometimes by the way your theater crowd reacts to it and I dunno about you guys but it was audibly clear that my crowd loved the film. Everyone clapped with applause at the end, at that point I knew this film was gonna be a smash box office hit.

good movie..i enjoyed it

when the rock flexed his cast off...the entire theater laughed

I am beyond happy to see that this movie has already made over $800 million. :D Looks like it'll close out around $1.3 billion. The entire cast deserves this.

I wish HISHE (How it Should Have Ended) still put out as many videos as they used to. I'd love to see them do some of these Fast movies, especially 7.

I think the HISHE for Furious 7 would have clips of Dom coming out of the car he sent down the hill with several broken bones screaming hysterically and during the parking rooftop fight when he stomps the cracked ground nothing happens for several minutes :funny:

"The streets always wins." *stomp!* *nothing happens* *stomps again* "Wait, hold on."

*stomp! stomp!* *stomps with both feet up & down* Streets! *stomp!* Always! *stomp* Wins!"
