She was the first role cast, so I'm guessing it is more than just a girl friend.
With Spider-Man relaunching in conjunction with Marvel Studios, I think we can forget about that Felicity Jones Black Cat movie.
Even in Amazing Spidey 2, her character was pointless, and it was a waste of her talents.
I wonder who she might play.

Can't wait...she's going to be AWESOME as Rogue leader.
I am already crushing over the possibilities.
What are the chances that she's Wedge Antilles's daughter?
I'm all for that, but only if her name is Wedgie.
Disney CEO Bob Iger says Felicity Jones has a starring role in the movie:
I might pass out in the theater when she says, "Rogue One, standing by..."
Variety implying Jones might be playing Leia. Leia the pilot is not unheard of.
I had no idea that the term 'Rogue leader' was first used in 'The Empire Strikes Back'. Also, I thought 'Rogue One' was a commonly used term but I was wrong.
Octoberist is a bad Star Wars geek.
Judging by the title alone this is going to take place before Episode IV. Would not have guessed that earlier.
Uh, why? The title if anything seems to imply it is post Empire.
I figured "Rogue One" had something to do with the beginning of the Rebellion.
"Rogue One" seems to be referring to Rogue Squadron. There was a reference to it by a member of the story group on twitter.
I love all the SW news over the last couple of days/years.
So is this Rogue One? Or is it Star Wars: Rogue One? The former, sans SW title might be an interesting way to go for the spin-offs. But they may not want to lose the instantaneous name recognition, so I assume the latter.
As far as we know it's Rogue One

Good. I hope that is true.
