Arrow Female Led Spin-off in the works

I imagine if they mess around much longer the actors will start looking for other work, if they haven't already. You can't just leave a pilot sitting around indefinitely.

Katherine has been doing other work but they are still under contract so the spin off would trump any other contract should they pick it up. If they let those contracts expire then....yeah, dead.

MG stated he's no longer part of the Arrowverse so Id say this is officially dead, along with katie talking about possibilities of showing up during crossovers.

Who is MG?

Marc Guggenheim

I’ve thought for a while now that GA & TC was dead, a real shame cause I liked the premise and I think it would have boosted the line up in a bigger way than something like Painkiller. But with Guggenheim gone plus the time it’s taken for us to hear anything I’d say with 99% certainty it’s not happening.

You know what I would loved for the show to get picked up but it is what is.

At least it’s confirmed. At least we got Superman and Lois coming up next month hopefully so that softens the blow.

Well so much for that show. What's the reason they're not moving forward? Coronavirus?

So I guess William will stay kidnapped for the unforeseeable future...

I really dont understand the reasoning behind not picking this up. Highest rated episode of S8 of Arrow, had good social media trends, KM has a very strong fanbase, 3 female leads.

I must confess, even though I couldn't have really cared less for this spinoff, I don't get the logic in cancelling this but going forward with the Painkiller series.

Yeah, who really cares about a Painkiller TV show especially when they're cancelling Black Lightning anyway? I thought Arrow was very popular and certainly more so than Black Lightning. I don't care for the Painkiller character at all.

Why do they need it on HBO Max? They could've just had it on the CW. Did they need all their other shows on HBO before like Arrow? Besides, no-one was expecting Green Arrow and the Canaries to be anywhere near the quality of Stargirl but just more of what we had in the flash forwards in Arrow Season 7/8.

Sounds like TheCW wanted HBO Max to pay all the start up costs, sets, cgi renderings and then take it from them for a 2nd season where it wouldve been slightly cheaper to produce since everything was already done.

Maybe they could've not had it take place in the future? I like the idea of Mia being the present with everyone else.

That wouldve made sense and for the best but...now we just got a cancelled spin off :(

I think it felt like an unnecessary addition to the story. And they had throw some random hoops in to get all the characters together. Just say Crisis left the Arrow kids there. Maybe William decides to go back to the future, but Mia opts to stay to make sure the present stays peaceful or something and look after Rene's daughter out of guilt for her death in the future, and Connor stays to get to know his bio dad, along with wanting to stay with Mia. We reveal that JJ did come back and will have a story in the present. There. Done.
