Apocalypse Gambit in the Apocalypse Movie

We saw Professor X rescued Cyclops from Stryker's mutant labs in Origins.

For me, ideally.... like I just want Scott to be at the X-mansion already at the start of the film and maybe namedrop Havok.

I had wiped that movie from my memory so I totally forgot about that. I guess it would be cool if they are already at the mansion well Jean at least since she has backstory already. I really want to see something about Cyclops and Storm maybe getting picked on or just showing their powers appearing at puberty during a stressed event. Maybe we could see Corsair for Cyclops to hint at the Starjammers for a later movie and Shadow King for Storm making her so his dirty work.

At this point, with the First Class 4 still getting the focus and Apocalypse finally making his entrance to the lives of the X-Men. I don't think there's enough room for those.

Though I would see like to see when Professor X recruits Storm, in Egypt, Apocalypse would also show up there, like during that moment. So like recruiting Storm led them to meeting Apocalypse.

Yea that would be to many characters being introduced but would be cool for spinoff purposes I would so love to see Hepzhibah I loved her in Starjammers. Yes I do want Storn to be recruited in Africa hopefully.

Considering they've retconned far more major things in the filmverse, retconning how Xavier first meets Cyclops is not such a big deal IMO. Especially if they can come up with something more substantial (read: better) than the one from Origins. I'm sure they can.

If there Is a recruitment montage of Jean,Cyclops, and storm,it's likely in that order of importance in Apocalyps,Bryan Singer is bound to want to do his own version of jean and Cyclops being recruited.

3 options i see for cyclops, jean and storm

1. they are at the school from the start of film of film to avoid stepping of previous films even though though it would still confuse anyway

2. they are recruited at the very start of the film because you don't really need to wait till the middle just to give xavier an excuse

3. he recruits them at some point in the movie because of apocalypse

^ Or a combination of this.

Personally (and I've written this elsewhere) I would love to see the movie start off first with stuff back in ancient Egypt, showing us Apocalypse as a youth and then him finding alien technology. He creates his pyramids (in Giza) to hide the ship.

We then see a scene from 1976 where we see Raven give Wolverine's body to Sinister. We see that she did this in order to get something that has to do with saving/protecting mutants. Maybe the location of Destiny!

We then see a Danger Room sequence with Jean and Scott, and possibly a Quicksilver, already recruited. Have Beast running it and have it explained generally how Beast created the Danger Room and created Scott's glasses. Show each of their personalities. Scott's natural leadership, Jean's uncertainty (possibly) and maybe Quicksilver's overconfidence.

We then see Xavier using Cerebro, and see him find another mutant (Nightcrawler) in Germany (at the circus). We see that he is bald (pay McAvoy extra). They go to recruit him.

We then see Gambit in Cairo and a scene where a young Ororo tries to steal from him. Doesn't work out as she expects, but Gambit uses his powers to Ororo's astonishment.

Back with Xavier and the X-Men we see them visit the circus. Something happens, young Nightcrawler exposes his powers, he decides to go with Xavier. We even get to see (from Margali's point of view) how Kurt came to be raised by her (Mystique left him).

We then see Gambit (in uniform) entering the pyramid. Storm follows him in. Her presence (which obviously didn't happen in the OT for whatever reason) leads to a slumbering Apocalypse being awoken. Gambit tries to save Ororo and escape and causes a cave-in, killing a Horseman (Death) but trapping Ororo.

Back on the Blackbird we see Xavier (and maybe Jean) react to Apocalypse's energy. They head to Cairo.

Back with Ororo, she freaks out and her powers cause lightning to blast the pyramid. The X-Men appear, a short battle with the remaining Horsemen, they have to escape since Ororo is hurt. Gambit goes with them.

We see Apocalypse visiting Sinister (Sinister is obviously subserviant - they must have met in the past) and him needing a new Horseman Death. Wolverine's body is presented and we see the start of him being turned into a Horseman.

We then see Mystique and her Brotherhood (Toad, Spyke, Ink, and maybe a better done Blob) attacking a government facility. They get to the point where they free Destiny, but they are trapped. Possibly Ink or Spyke are killed. Magneto shows up out of knowhere to save them.

Back at the X-Mansion we see Ororo being tended to and Gambit by her side. They discuss this whole omnipotent being they met and question Gambit. He provides just a bit of insight (would Xavier use his powers to uncover the truth?, could Gambit prevent it?).

Then at Magneto's lair (within a mountain) he reveals to Raven some truths about the past, as does she. She gets into the whole "you left me" and "you tried to kill me" stuff. Erik explains how he is going to create a free society for mutants. Mystique doesn't comit to anything. Maybe Destiny convinces Raven that Xavier needs to be told about how she gave Wolverine to Sinister (she sees what he will become). Erik goes with her (and Destiny) to visit Charles (Raven to explain, Erik to invite them to come with him).

We then get to see the whole Wolverine reveal. He is the Horseman Death.

Back at Xavier's Mystique, Erik and Destiny show up and they get into what they know about Wolverine and Sinister, and the coming Apocalypse. Magneto reveals to Quicksilver that "I am your father". Quicksilver goes, but no one else.

Raven and Xavier go through some stuff. They agree to work together for now in order to undo what she did (Wolverine) and stop Apocalypse. Although Kurt isn't informed that Mystique is his mommy, maybe Xavier and she get into it a bit. She convinces Charles not to tell...

Apocalypse and his forces attack somewhere, and the X-Men and Mystique go to stop them. We have a good battle, a few dead Horsemen, Xavier getting through to Wolverine, who turns on his "master", allowing an all out assault to work. Would need some good combos between the X-Men. With Apocalypse defeated the X-Men leave and Mystique goes her own way.

We then get to see Erik, along with a number of followers (maybe around 30 or so) at his base of operations. We see him use his powers to rip the mountain from the Earth and propel it into space. He creates Avalon.

Back at the X-Mansion we get a happy, feel good scene showing the four X-kids and maybe something along the lines of how Gambit is not there, but he's coming back (maybe a conversation between him and Storm). The movie ends with some discussion about Erik and how the governments of the world are going to react, and maybe some other stuff. But we get to see all four of the X-Kids happy and healthy, etc.

After credits scene: We see Sinister back in Cairo putting the remnants of Apocalypse into the regeneration chanber. Gambit shows up and gives to Sinister whatever it was that he was originially sent to obtain. This way the GA sees that Gambit was working for Sinister and that Apocalypse is a threat that can come back in the future. We also see that Sinister is a future threat that could pop back up in either a future Gambit flick, or in another X-Men movie...

I bet some of it will happen.

For example, I bet that...

- There will be a blackbird.

- There will be a Danger Room.

- Jean, Scott and Ororo will be in the movie.

- Professor X will use Cerebro.

- Apocalypse will be in the movie.

- Mystique and Magneto will be in the movie.

- Wolverine will be in the movie, and may even be (as I've speculated) the Horseman Death.

And that's about it! I'll be disappointed if my feable attempt at a story ends up being better than what they give us!

I may be alone in this, but I would like for them to establish that Banshee and Emma are actually still around and faked their deaths somehow.

Banshee, yes. Emma, I could take or leave, mostly leave.:o

I do to man.
Banshee was a favorite of mine big time.
I like the white queen just to be around.

And super Jim you're a legend dude

I liked Banshee in First Class. But it doesn't bother me if they don't bring him back.

However, Emma Frost... she's a pretty big character and I feel like she has potential to be the next big female in the film series.

^ Totally agree.

Personally, I kind of wish that they didn't kill off Banshee or Emma, but it is what it is.

At the same time, the only one that I could see being able to fake her death is Emma. At the same time, one of the problems with having Emma as a 30 year old character (my best guess) in 1963 is that in 1983 she would be 50 years old. Is it possible she had a daughter, named after her, who developed the identical powers? That would at least give us the possibility of having the White Queen with this new cast in future movies or spin-offs...

Oh, and cicscostudent561... Thanks!

I can see Banshee still around if Emma helped him, and the thing about those two is of all the autopsy photos, theirs I didn't see, even in the Bluray extras. You only know of it from Magneto and he could have been lied too or Emma could have planted a fake memory.

I really like the idea of Emma having a daughter like herself to be in the X-M:A.

As it is, I know that's pretty much wishing in vein.

Plastic Surgery

Except some are forgetting with casting of new young Jean grey they have telepath and romantic intrest for cyclops.

X-Men films are unlikely to ever have emma frost running school and paired with Cyclops.

Filmakers apparently only wanted to use the white queen version of emma with also using her secondary mutation.

Right, but here's the deal..

I don't want this:

Actually, I just realized, what's to have stopped her from doing exactly what OT Charles did?

She'd just need to find some hot, blonde brain dead person and take over her body! What a perfect way to escape Project Wideawake!

They could so easily bring her back using this method. Make her the Headmistress of the Massachusetts Academy and the New Mutants would get an opposing group in the Hellions.

I say Alice Eve for a new, younger (and better) Emma!

Anyway, I would have loved to see the Gambit/Rogue dynamic, but that's not going to happen the way it is now.

Maybe Gambit/Storm?

Sadly, I doubt we would ever see Emma Frost again unless they give her a third mutation that she doesn't age like Mystique.

This is one of the things I hated with the prequels (Origins/First Class), they had to introduce a familiar character from the comics (Gambit/Emma Frost) and if they ever bring them into the modern-day world to work with the X-Men team, they would have looked too old. With Gambit, it appears that they are pulling another Emma Frost-retcon kind of thing but its still unsure whether Channing Tatum will be in the 80s or the modern-day world.

^ If Gambit is in this 1983 set movie, his character will obviously be between mid-20's and mid-30's (likely towards the younger). Storm will be 16, based on the casting call information.

The idea of them trying to put these two characters together at this point in their lives is a bit... icky!

I've come to accept that I will never see the whole Gambit and Rogue dynamic, and I guess, at this point, I'm ok with it (there was a time I was not happy). The truth is, I don't see any character where Gambit could have a romantic relationship with, at least for now.

Storm on the other hand could easily have some sort of flirtatious relationship with Nightcrawler, especially if we get the less brooding, more dynamic, flirty and fun Kurt!

I do feel that my semi-retcon concept of Emma's mind being in the astral plane and her taking over someone's (Alice Eve's) body can work. If Xavier could do it, why couldn't she?

in Origins Wolverine, Gambit seems to be between 20-25. If he will be in Apocalypse, he would be same age. But I prefer to see him in new x-men movie setting in 2000's instead of seeing him in 80's.

If we have a Rogue-Gambit relation, Gambit will be 20 years oldest than her :sus

Whatever shes dead before 1973

^ Don't see how that matters.

If she had already had a daughter in say 1962 or 1963 (prior to the events of First Class), or post the events of First Class, but prior to her death, her daughter would be around 20 years old during this Apocalypse movie.

But I believe my new concept is even better. She escaped Project Wideawake by using the astral plane.

Just because Project Wideawake supposedly killed her back in 1964, or something, doesn't mean that her mind wouldn't have been in the astral place (just like Xaviers after he was killed by Jean in 2006). If her mind has been in the astral plane then she could easily, just like Xavier did, take control of someone elses body! And this could happen in just about any timeline, with any aged person.

Rogue will never be with gambit this film series because she is with iceman and they made an effort to keep that being the case, its not like the ending to DOFP keeps it open that she may be single so they can get her with gambit anyway

It's about times people looked back at the film series and remember that the producers are happy to do their own thing with this series
