Sequels "Gambit" starring Channing Tatum? - Part 1

From Lost? Wow, yes. It's funny but thinking about it gets me back to 2008 I think, when there were rumors about Gambit appearing in the Wolverine movie, and everyone was like "omg, who's it gonna be? How about Sawyer?" I feel like the X-Men have accompanied me for so long.

I must confess I'm worried about something: I read somewhere that Channing is letting his hair grow, for Gambit. Do you think it will be long enough and nice enough? I gotta feeling he'll have to wear a wig, extensions or something. I think Taylor's hair was just perfect.

Gambit's hair isn't always long. Like the T-shirt he wore to comic-con or the 90's toon, he could have it that short of a length instead. It would probably fit Tatum better.

I can't see Tatum having hair any longer than the X-Men Evolution version.

Tatum's haircut at SDCC was already pretty Gambit like, wasn't it? I felt like people brought that up when he came out on stage. Maybe not, I can't remember what Chan's hair looks like regularly.

She really was the best choice out of the three. I'm hoping that she becomes the head of the Assassin's Guild in THIS movie. It'd make her dynamic with Gambit all the more interesting, and give Lea more to do.

As an aside, Lea and Channing Tatum would be the most "unlikely" pairing since, well Lea and Daniel Craig.

Agree with Tatum. I don't really feel like Lea/Daniel Craig is that unlikely.

Agree with all this. I'm looking forward to seeing Tatum and Lea's chemistry. That's gonna be key.

I'm slowly becoming more hyped for this over Deadpool. Need to wait for more news, though. Can't wait for that first full look at Tatum in his Gambit suit to hit the net.

I don't want to get my hopes up for Lea but wow if Channing and co. can secure her. This movie might be actually really be something. And props to her if she can do a Cajun accent.

I guess this has been discussed before in this thread, but I just found out about it today.

It's about the casting call and descriptions of some characters. It only talks about three women, one of which is a kid. So that leaves two grown up women. I'd love "Vera" to be Rogue, but I guess that's going to be Belladonna, right? However, a little light inside my heart wishes it is indeed Rogue. God, even if it's juts a Rogue cameo, a girl with auburn and white hair passing by in the background... I'll be happy (for the moment).

Gambit is my number one character and I already got my wish with Taylor Kitsch. My trouble is that Channing is very low on my list of actors, it's going to take a lot for me to see him in this role.

Squeeks! Aw, let's give him a chance. I loved Taylor too, though I recognize the fact that Gambit has a solo movie has me so hyped that maybe I overlook Channing's flaws. Also: we still haven't seen him in the part, right? He seems very excited and committed... I can't help to let myself go with his enthusiasm (like I know him. Right XD )

I just say, again: let's give him the chance to make it right. If it sucks, well we'll have plenty of time to bash the poor thing (ok, I recognize I think he's very cute and all). But for now, I'm so happy about the movie, I just want to enjoy it. (IMHO).
