I'm jumping the gun I know that... But it's just kinda exciting because Remy got the shaft when it came to X-Men after TAS because he wasn't on a team in the films it severely impacted his importance in video games cartoons and comics after 2000.

I just feel like his time is now. If they don't use Lea then I really hope Belle is still the female lead but the call sheet of characters for this film is very very intriguing.

FoX should really take advantage of the cool X Characters (Deadpool Gambit Bishop Cable) the minorities and females because that's the in thing to do now and Claremont was ahead of his time and created great heroes FoX could mine through

Oh I agree with Fox having a stable of absolutely fantastic characters with great potential, and that they should take advantage of them all. I just don't think a trilogy of Gambit movies is necessarily the way to do it.

Would've been cool to see more of Bishop, considering how they've gotten an award winning French actor to portray in Omar Sy. Bishop is probably out an about in the future, so he could definitely show up, but with Fox seemingly really interested in bringing Cable...yeah. Dunno if there's space for both Bishop and Cable. Warpath, race-bended Blink and Sunspot were a minor, but good step forward of including racial minorities.

I think Boone's New Mutants will really the best shot of introducing the international nature of the X-franchise though along with a strong female presence, and I hope Boone and Fox push through with allowing a lot of minorities/women in that moviel.

I don't want Sunspot or Warpath from DoFP back but definitely both characters rebooted into New Mutants as a Hero and James as a Hellion.

Omar & Fan have multiple picture deals I hope they need to travel back from the future immediately. Hopefully they work on their English so they can have more lines.

New Mutants I hope is actually more Female heroes than males with Rose Byrne as the leader fingers crossed

Just a thought, though, Doug Liman and Tom Cruise were going to work together on Luna Park. If Liman signs on, then Luna Park is delayed till 2018 I'm supposing. What I'd love, though, is Tom Cruise decides that he really wants to work with Liman and signs on to this. He'd work great as an antagonist. His performance in Collateral is probably his best performance I'd say.

Oh lord please let there not be 3 Gambit movies. I'd be plenty content with just one Gambit before they just throw him into a team-up film. Same with Deadpool (though we will probably get a sequel and an X-Force movie if it does well, which it certainly seems like it)

Yeah we wouldn't be getting a solo at all if FOX didn't see more then one solo in it

infact there is probably more thought about a sequel then there is any idea where he would how he would fit into a team movie

The plan probally is a gambit trilogy and gambit joining X-Men in first post Apocalypse
X-Men film.

Wow the reactions on comicbook are terrible. Guess people just enjoy whining, especially relating to Fox's property.

as for release date

Fox has previously given Kingsmen sequel the june 2017 spot and fox just announced Alien:Covenant is opening October 2017.

Considering Liman is all but set for gambit and still unknown if Vaughn is
returning for Kingsmen sequel it's possable Kingsmen will be pushed to 2018
and gambit will get june 2017 spot making it second X title for 2017.If fox keeps Kingsmen In June 2017 Gambit might not open open till early 2018.
Justice League is coming In november 2017.Fox might try to open Gambit in early december before Thor 3 opens.

“I mean Deadpool obviously has a very different, almost antithetical tone to the mainline X-Men movies,” says Kinberg. “The X-Men movies are dramatic and almost operatic, whereas Deadpool is irreverent and hysterical and sort of a dirty R-rated comedy in many ways. And Gambit will have its own different flavor and tone to it, will be more of like a heist movie and a sexy thriller in a way.”

SIMON KINBERG:…we have a director in and I don’t know if I’m allowed to say who it is yet because his deal isn’t done, but it’s somebody we’re excited about, and somebody I adore, and hopefully we can make an announcement soon about that. But we’ve been spending a lot of time together—Channing, [Reid Carolin, Tatum’s producing partner], [screenwriter Joshua Zetumer], the director, and myself—just working on the script, and we hope to start shooting next spring.

Since the fall start date is no longer happening, Kinberg all but confirmed that Fox’s previously announced October 7, 2016 release is out of the cards. More than likely, we’ll see Gambit and his sexy heist some time in 2017.

they always do.some went a bit quiet after DOFP but after FF it has gone back into let's bash fox.

Kingsman, the martian, and Peanuts have all shown fox can make successful film.Of course they didn't have a incompent like Josh Trank to deal with.

Fox tried to cover trank's behaviour and he rewards them by thrashing them on twitter and blaming them.Fox's mistake was gambling on Trank after people thought he was competent after Chronicle.

FF's failure means nothing to X-Men films and other films made by competent filmmakers.

well idea of kinberg working on script could scare some:woot: Liman was able to make a success out of the Kinberg scripted mr and mrs smith.and that film went under scheduling problems and massive changes in editing.

Gambit as both heist film and sexy thriller sound great to me.

I just found out that David Goyer and Simon Kinberg were the writers on Jumper! Holy ****, no wonder that movie was bad. They might as well have added Zak Penn's name to that screenplay.

Yet, here's the thing, Man of Steel might have had a bad script but the director was competent enough to stop it from turning into Ang Lee's Hulk. Same with Days of Future Past (which has script issues which we don't notice because Singer is just that good).

Also, Josh Zetumer is the screenwriter. He is a good screenwriter. I liked the new RoboCop and yes, I thought it was a good movie. It failed critically for one reason: it was not rated R. Yet I thought it was a good film. Zetumer is competent and we know Liman is great.

Kinberg's pretty much confirmed him as director and a new release date, so this movie seems to be on the right track.

I don't think Kinberg is doing any actual writing on this, just producing. Josh Zetumer wrote the screenplay (based on a story treatment by Chris Claremont!)

Justin Kroll from Variety was on Meet the Movie Press last week and he heard the script was fantastic.

I know that i was having a bit of fun there.I have heard before script is very good.even DF who isn't much of a fan of x-men films said he heard the script was great. It's very Intresting Chris Claremont wrote the story treatment.

The more Gambit news the better.

If Gambit gets sequels X-Men can join his solo adventures... He works great with "Stormy"

Gambit was created by Chris Claremont & Jim Lee I hope they cameo in the film

Okay cool. :D

Yeah, I'm happy about Claremont writing the treatment as well. Who better to write the story than the man who created Gambit (and arguably the greatest X-Men writer of all time).

:awesome:

That's true, I feel Channing Tatum would have great contrast with Alexandra Shipp, based off of her previous roles.

I feel that this is Fox's way of saying, hey, we respect the comics too.

I thought this said Nick Kroll at first and was like how the ****?

I hate to say it but this is easily the least anticipated cbm in the works right now
Fox should fold and merge with the mcu

Oh jesus:whatever:

This will never happen.Fox is doing fine.Kingsmen, the martin, and peanuts all
made up for FF failure.Fox isn't in Sony shape.Sony basicly ceded control of
spider-man to Feige with sony being distrubter of solo Spider-man films and
spin-offs.Fox would never do that. They defently wouldn't give Singer,Kinberg, and Donnor the boot to give control of X-Men to Feige.

Marvel is still trying to replace X-Men with Inhumans.

Main X-Men films would never fit with avengers.Deadpool and Gambit are a bit different story.deadpool is hard r.Feige has said the films are never going dark and will never be rated r.If they bring back blade even with snipes it would likely be pg-13 and be lighter than the blade trilogy was.

Actually I'd say that the least anticipated is Captain Marvel, since Wonder Woman and Ant Man & Wasp will ultimately be so much better.

It's not as anticipated as other projects sure but I do hope you realize that Fox is as a big a corporation as Disney, right? So for them to fold into a subsidiary of a subsidiary of Disney would mean the mighty have faleln.

Based on market cap, Disney is over three times the size of 21st Century Fox.
