Yeah I just don't pay attention to it. I'm just hopeful this'll make Marvel start up a new solo Gambit comic or god forbid actually put him back on a X-Men team finally in the books

I certainly wouldn't mind the X-men sharing the same universe with Spidey, Cap, Iron man though I don't think there's a need to make Wolvie an Avenger. That said...

Wait a minute did I just read that Marvel has a convoluted continuity?

I think what was meant was how would the mutant population be introduced in the MCU considering no mention of them was ever made prior.

Feige et al looks like they shuffled Civil War around so they can include Spidey in that film and in their expanded film verse. What kind of shuffling around would be needed to introduce a whole population of mutants? Would the more senior members of the X-men (like of Xavier and Magneto) just now, in 2015, undergoing puberty and now just discovering their powers?

I don't like wolverine or spider-man as avengers.that is why i have mixed feelings to Spider-man In MCU.

On Agents of shield they have been setting up inhumans as Mutants replacements In MCU.

and seriously after complants of FC/DOFP/Apocalypse focusing on young characters why would you want a reboot when they are all young.

You may be right, I haven't really been paying attention. But isn't it way too early in the game for that to be meaningful? The film literally just got a director and hasn't even started filming yet. They haven't even locked in a cast yet. Give it time.

It comes out in less than a year. Relatively speaking, it doesn't really have much time.

Kinberg said they're hoping to start filming in Spring 2016. That tells me they're pushing for a 2017 release date, not a 2016 one.

I hadn't seen Kinberg's newest quote, but I'm happy to hear they're going to push the release date forward. Fox has a reputation of, "get this movie out by this date at all costs", so I'm glad they won't be repeating that mistake.

Gambit is cool I feel his movie is reparations FoX owes this character. Singer never included him because he was to much like Wolverine so getting a solo series and then being a official team member feels justified

Yes! And by saving Gambit for 2017 we're gonna have two movies (Wolverine & Gambit) & two TV shows (if renewed).

And 2018 with New Mutants & the upcoming X-Men project, plus the X-Factor series

Wasn't Fantomex one of the characters people hypothesized from the casting calls? Gambit has a bit more money than Deadpool so they might be able to up the ante in terms of mutants they're gonna use, but even then, hopefully they keep it under control. Deadpool seems to be handling other mutants really well so.

Well I think Fantomex makes sense because his overall look fits Gambit and he's not really well known X-Man.

That always felt like a lame excuse to me. Especially since when Gambit was finally included it was in a Wolverine movie. They have similarities, but they really aren't THAT much alike at all.

Moving the film back would definitely be a good thing, so if that is happening I approve. Rushing a film to make a particular release date almost always works out poorly.
