At least now we know why a Gambit film has such a ridiculous budget. It's to pay for months of stalled work.

If its getting the October 2017 release (which I assumed you are aware of those new release dates or are you still expecting the October 2016 release date which Fox already removed), I don't see the problem if they postponed it "yet again".

Wolverine 3 is out in 1 year and its yet to start filming.

release dates for any x related films is looking doudtful.old man logan has march 3 2017 release and is susposly starts filming in april but so far less than month away and we have heard nothing on casting besides jackman and stewart and crew.same with gambit.

after apocalypse hits in may who knows when the next x related film will be out.

That's a real possibility. Jackman and FOX appeared to be ok with Wolverine 3 as Jackman's farewell to the X-Verse. But Deadpool's BO has got to have folks thinking about at least one Logan-Wilson team up. I could see an X-Force film first and FOX kicking Old Man Logan further down the road.

But none of that was said by Fox, so it's hard to hold it against them. We don't know what kind of character Fox wants to make Gambit. Now, admittedly, it's possible to say Deadpool is a fluke and not have a ton of faith in Fox, but it's still also really too early to tell.

I think the possibilities for Gambit are limited to some because they are seeing Gambit as a hero character and nothing more. But Gambit is not a traditional hero. He is a professional thief. And if you ask me, his life is much more interesting when he's off doing his own thing. There is SO much more to him than his powers and membership with the X-men. I don't understand why it's so difficult for people to see Gambit outside the scope of traditional hero and not other characters.

I'd rather not Fox not rush things out like X3 or F4. I'd rather it take all the time to get ready as long as Tatum/Liman are attached. That being said, hopefully this is the last delay and they've sorted everything out.
