great news

Anna Paquin reprising her role as Rogue would make me excited!

I hope they bring a very, very short list of A-list characters, like Logan and Deadpool did. And characters that make sense.

There's no reason anymore for wasting beloved characters only for pointless cameos or power display.

Hope it doesn't suck. :(

I hope Gore can surprise everyone after the critical misses that were The Lone Rangers, Potc sequels and Cure for Wellness. I'd hate this to be another Origins: Wolverine. Just like Psylocke and Angel, Gambit has yet to appear in a good film!

I hope they don't waste Sinister, Marrow and Multiple Man in this. While Rogue could serve as the bridge between the Gambit and the X-Men!

He's fine by me, it's Tatum I worry most about.
I'm just worried about the script post-rewrites. Hopefully it takes the right lessons from previous successful X-Men films, has a unique voice and reins Gore's tendency to make long films.

Released on Valentine's Day. If Rogue is not in this film somewhere, then that's a problem.

Long is fine, as long as it's good. :)

Let the chips fall where they may. That's all that matters.

True, Logan was long and the length was necessary. Let Chan and Gore make his movie indeed.

Wonder where they're filming this (IF it actually does happen...).
Believe it was in some New Orleans' production listings back in 2015 - hope they're still there even though they no doubt slimmed the budget.

I’m so so excited and the release date makes me think they will market it similar to Deadpool which was fantastic. They need to show how much charisma this character has. I’ve also been a supporter of Tatum in this role for a long time and his small but memorable roles in Hateful Eight and Kingsman have me even more excited about how good he will portray the smooth talking Cajun.

Now as a huge Gambit and Rogue fan I don’t want to get myself excited. But please please please can this just happen for us fans already. Anna has been working a lot lately and she’s just been cast in Scorcese’s new film so she’s still a steady working Oscar winner. They can bank on her and him. It would make all my dreams come true if they gave her the proper shot to play Rogue.

Man, take a trip and miss all the news.

Gore Verbinski is directing this. Well, that has my attention. Since there will be no Depp, should be a good way for him to stretch his muscles.

It would at least look good. A Cure for Wellness looked nice, production wise. So hopefully Gambit would have a faithful costume in this. Unless like the Wolverine, he wears casual clothing in his solo film.

great news all around.and fox has 2 more 2019 marvel films to announce.one could be x-force and second could be dark phoenix part 2:cwink:

great time for x-men fans.

It certainly is, can't wait to see what movies those dates turn out to be.

Because he directed his last recent Fox film that didnt do so well to the public which is a reflection of his directorial skills.:loco: logic, man.:cwink:

And I know your same Old song and dance in your posts, "Fox is superior. Anything that differs from my opinion is wrong".

Dude, at least watch A Cure for Wellness first, and make up your own mind. That's all I'm saying.

And no, Fox is not superior to other studios, just like it's not inferior to other studios. What matters are the movies themselves.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to February 14, 2019!

Having Storm in this movie, preferably Halle's Storm, would really tickle my fancy. I'd love to see them thieving around in New Orleans.
