Reboot,I guess. Anyway, Rogue appearing in this movie should add more interest to this movie. I don't think Bella Donna brings anything in terms of building hype and anticipation for this movie. So they should reconsider!

And if Kitty could have tim e travelling power.... Rogue kicking ass isn't definitely impossible unless they lack of imagination and still want Rogue to be a damsel in distress.

But they clearly do lack it as she has not been bad ass in any of the four previous installments though she's had every opportunity to and Anna Paquin herself said she wanted her to have her MM powers as early as after the first film.

Eh. If Colossus could get an upgrade after the Deadpool so can Rogue. It's just a matter of when will these producers and creative team start realizing it. If WB or Disney are doing this Gambit movie, I bet they would include Rogue even if for just a small cameo.

So i'm the only one who'd rather have Storm in a Gambit movie than Rogue?

if they wanted to have X-men find gambit towards end of his solo film it should be storm.if you want to be comic accurate then gambit was introduced to X-men through storm.of course it won't be a storm reduced to childhood as it was in comics:woot:

Rogue isn't a CGi character. So they wouldn't CGI her face unless she borrows Colossus' power again. Anyway, Anna Paquin looks the part even more now that she's older.

I.. I got nothing.

I'm not even referring to powers when I say Rogue kicks ass. I don't need her flying and smashing people through buildings, just some good dialogue and little more of her trademark personality. In the end, I just think the character would be a good addition to a Gambit story.

I don't see Storm paired up with Gambit. Mostly just down to the ages of the cast. It would be weird right? Or is that just me?

I just feel like they underused Rogue so much and when people think of Gambit, I feel like they associate him with Rogue most of the time and not Storm. Storm is also underused but she got a supporting role in Dofp and Apocalypse and would probably appear in Supernovä. While Rogue has only appeared in 3 movies + a 4 seconds cameo.

BeholdMe just dragged a couple of y'all...:funny:
Lol I missed you jaymes
Wait for what though?
I didnt say they absolutely had to just that their is nothing wrong with waiting only to throw her in his first movie for fan service. Im just not a fan of this representation of her and dont want to see her return.

Thats the thing I have no idea what they plan to take Rogue in direction wise, im tired of the damsel in distress because thats something that Rogue isnt. I frankly just want a reboot with the sassy superstrong Rogue, I agree Bella Donna doesnt bring much fan service to the movie or hype. If they can find a way to make it work though as i said im behnd it. They just drop the ball alot with this franchise and they need to get back on track with alot of these characters and remind the world why we fell in love with them as well as why they owned the 90's-early 2000s

No your not, but if Shipp is indeed in NM i dont think they would use Storm again in Gambit. I would love to see Storm and Gambit I love their dynamic.

You better stop before you get reported. Difference of opinion is frowned upon
I'm not surprised, stating that anything in Deadpool set a new standard is like walking on eggshells around here, with my apologies to the moderator.

Psylockolossus may get annoying but he clearly meant putting a Rogue ripped from the comics to the film. Not the CGI part.

I definitely did and Anna Paquin said she would only play Rogue for the fifth time if they make her character a bad ass.

Its fair to say this is gambits origin story so rogue probably has no place in it even if you argue they could give her a cameo... i guess whats the point? that gonna deliver on whatever gambit and rogue expectations?

if Bella Donna is the love interest then she will be the female lead of the movie, even if marvel were making gambit they would likely go with Bella Donna because she would probably fit better in his origin story then rogue would.

I imagine gambits world will be wrapped around the Thieves Guild rather then pushing to far out into the X-Men world

Well this movie is only being made because of Channing Tatum. It was not like that they were looking for someone to act as Gambit in a solo Gambit movie.

Gambit was being kept on the shelf for a solo movie but he probably would have sat there longer if Tatum hadn't shown interest in playing gambit.

The entire genre is built on fan service. No-one complains about it unless it is badly executed. To only difference here is you're making an assumption that Rogue being in the film is automatically a failure, when I think it would work.

If you don't like Paquin's version, and have been burnt too many times to have faith, I can't blame you.

I think the context of a Gambit story would naturally change Rogue's role. It's a good chance to check in on a character who has grown, ideally into something better resembling comic Rogue. She was just a kid in the original trilogy afterall.

It feels weird even discussing this. I'm not convinced we're getting a Gambit film at all. It's stalling at every opportunity, and doesn't really fit with the other projects on the go. A younger version, paired with Storm and later incorporated into the younger team roster seems like the logical choice. He could fill that snarky Wolverine void in the team.
