Yeah but not with the FC/A/DP gang. Channing as Gambit would look out of place there as one of the adults. Lol. He is as old as Michael/McAvoy. Truly a misfit unlike if he joins the Ot cast where majority of the gang are over 30.

I believe when I see it, hopefully if its true they won't waste him like they did with Oscar Isaacs as the Apocalypse.

Anyway this franchise has a noticeable track record of hiring good actors only to waste them.

It would be great to see him in a XM movie. I wanted to see Gambit with original cast but OT wont come back anymore and Tatum is too young toward OT whereas Gambit is older than main x-men in movieverse.

Because of Origins making him a little older than Cyclops'generation

Tatum is the same age than Olivia Munn so Gambit/Psylocke could have the same age, some years older than others x-men and playing with new cast

Wasn't Bryan Cranston really interested in this role? That's a way better pick than Daniel Craig.

I think Tatum is too old to play Gambit anyway. I'd prefer to see an early to mid 20's Gambit rather than a late 30's one.

Eh. At this point if Fox has no plans to use the ot cast members, then all ot cast characters, characters from the Wolverine films and the characters that appeared in the prequels should be rebooted. While keep the cast of Deadpool, New Mutants and X-Force.

I doubt that's gonna happen. Fox is really big on the holy trinity of Charles, Magnus and Raven. Also they just introduced a few younger X-men like Cyke, Jean and Kurt. Not saying i agree with Fox though.

Dark Phoenix is destined to fail IMO. If Apocalypse's underperformance didn't seal the deal for the Fc cast and I think Dp would be the final nail in the coffin. I just don't see X-Men in the past appealing to a lot of audience. And even of there's a sequel to Dp, I think by that time, people would just be tired of it in a way people are tired of another Transformers film.

Channing Tatum is 37 years old, my friend. Anna Paquin/Rogue is 35.

Btw, most Avengers actors are in their 30s. Don't see what's wrong with Fox investing in another mature team film with the original cast and by that I don't mean shoving all the old characters from the prequels into the XMen team (Lawrence, Fassbender, McAvoy, Evan Peters, Hoult, Munn, Chastain)... major eyeroll!

I want original cast come back. But Cumming, Jackman, Sir Kellen, Stewart wont back. It has stated that Gambit is a lil older than Cyclops and others in movies so he would fit with new cast but he would need some make-up to side him with old cast

Not a director at the top of his game by any means, but an interesting choice. I enjoyed his Pirates trilogy and Rango.

I enjoyed his Pirates Trilogy and thought Lone Ranger was under rated. He is an interesting choice to say the least.

I liked Apocalypse a lot so don't agree there.

And yeah, the franchise did the opposite of waste a lot of good actors as well. Let's not act like there haven't been some great performances in these movies.
