good news as long as disney buying fox doesn't axe film.

Depending on how long it takes for final approval, I suspect filming could start before Disney takes over. Then Disney has to decide whether to end projects with such significant investment or let them finish what they're doing.

if filming starts in march and sale didn't have happen till later the spring or summer then yeah gambit will be finished and serve as end to X-men cinematic universe.however with talk having leaked on sale now i think in event it happens we are looking at it happening sooner not later.

Could take weeks, could take months, could get government interference and get delayed by a few years.

Either way, it's entirely possible that this film could be incorporated into the MCU if it's short on references to other X-Men movies.

They had great chemistry together. Verbinski is certainly a more imaginative filmmaker than the Russos, but I wouldn't say better. Yet, one cannot forget that he managed to channel Johnny Depp's magnificent performance in Curse of the Black Pearl to Academy status, back when that meant something.

A Cure for Wellness was a flop likely due to Get Out. While not the same thsing, they looked similar from the trailers. He's a good filmmaker and this could be something he uses to get back on his horse, if it happens.
