The only one I want for a straight to DVD release is Dark Phoenix, the rest like Red Sparrow, Alita: Battle Angel, The Predator, Maze Runner: The Death Cure and Avatar sequels should be release in theaters.

Dark Phoenix is the only X movie on your list.
C`mon, everyone knows that you don`t want Gambit to be released and to be a successful movie.

Sometimes I really amazed why you post so much in Gambit movie thread if you don`t want it to be made.

Dark Phoenix is the only one I want for a straight to DVd. I am not in a hurry for a Gambit and New Mutants sequel so if they underperformed, it wouldn't jinx an upcoming Gambit/New Mutants movie as I don't think MCU would want to make their own Gambit/New Mutants film unlike with the X-Men.

When is Comic Con? Filming is planned till July-August.

If they will be shooting somescenes on streets then I think we will get some official photos at the beginning of filming. Like we get official photos of Cable a few days before they started filming scenes with him on streets.

I'm curious what look they'll go for in this. There are a few manips out there of Tatum as Gambit, but I wonder where they'll draw the most inspiration from as far as his appearance.

Maybe something close to the animated series look?

Given how SDCC went this year, I doubt Fox will really prepare stuff for Gambit. Hopefully we'll at least have his look, but I think they'll just hold off for a better time later on in the year, like CCXP.

I remeber old interview where Tatum told that they need to find a way to make headpiece work.

Some hates it but it is iconic for Gambit.

Personally i imagine gambit will probably look abit like Cable in Deadpool 2 where you can see the homages to the comic look but it won't be too much like his comic look.

As long as it's an upgrade from Taylor Kitsch. Now don't get me wrong, with what little screen time Kitsch had in Origins, I thought he was a decent Gambit and some of the behind the scenes stuff showed that he seemed to really be into the role, but didn't look the part in my opinion- not that an actor needs to look 100 percent perfectly translated from comic to screen to get the role down.

But I do agree with GuestStar. Perhaps with a tad more color than Cable, but something where you can totally see the comic look in whatever they go with, but not a perfect match.

Well I wouldn't be sad, Disney could find a way to feature in a X-Men team film. Something Fox couldn't do and yet Mystique and Teenage Negasonic Warhead are X-Men.

Some of the more recent depictions of Gambit in the comics have him wearing more normal street looking clothing. Trenchcoat, tracksuit top, red scarf, fingerless gloves, headband and boots.

Sounds like no matter what happens with this FOX/Marvel deal we are still gonna get the Gambit solo because nothing will be finalised until way after gambits even filmed.
