Harry the Heir and the Vale Lords aren't in this season, so I'm gonna say it was probably the last we've seen of the Vale in the show.

So Littlefinger is going back to King's Landing in season 5? I can't remember does that happen in the books?

Not yet, if it ever does. I believe it is the sparrows wrecking his brothel that brings him back to King's Landing.

The Vale's armies have been set up as important (as in Littlefinger's antepenultimate scene last year), so I don't think that's likely, though we don't know what's going on this year.

Here's hoping that the characters who die in Season 6 are characters who eventually die in the books. Just so there's as little deviation as possible.

I'm two books into it at the moment, so I can safely recommend The Farseer Trilogy to anyone that enjoys Ice and Fire, particularly the Arya chapters in AFFC/ADWD. You can see where Hobb influenced GRRM when it comes to warging, and the general tone of Ice and Fire. I think she actually does a bit better of a job when it comes to the warging process, actually, though GRRM has her beat in terms of scope.

Season 5 forecast: 100% chance of a bookreaders **** storm.

8? 8 you say? There is only one person capable of saving the series if it goes that far.

I'm ok with the books and the show being different. They both exist, it's not like one invalidates the other. I doubt they would make major changes without GRRM's approval anyway.

Roose probably should recognize her, but I guess they'll say in the show that he never visited Winterfell or something.

If it was up to me I'd have them kill Daario and have Barristan stay on to kick ass, and take names.

"This old man is about to kill you, Ser."
everyone assumes barry b is going to die and i don't understand why. he's the michael jordan of knights. i see him going back with dany to westeros.

I had a tiny ****flurry when they showed that horned Whitewalker take Craster's son last season. I thought I'd skipped a chapter in the books or something.

In the show, it's because the actor wasn't as involved this season, and there's a conspicuous lack of him in the set pics of all the big action sequences, whereas Daario has been given a larger role and appears much more prominently. Plus GRRM's comments about characters dying...

Barriston dying would again make Daario's increased role more obnoxious, which would in turn cause even more speculation that there's something more significant about him than his book counterpart makes apparent.

If his main role is to be a romantic distraction for Dany with some roguish qualities, he's already done his job. And if the guys feel like killing off the only real connection between Ned's story arc and hers and improving Daario's standing is a perfectly logical progression of their story, it adds even more circumstantial evidence to those who believe the Euron is Daarios theory.

Because other wise, there's not a lot of evident reasons for the change otherwise. Fans don't seem to be going wild over the character and actors. And the book readers keep fuming over why the Ironborn plot seems to be creeping along at a snail's pace, when even something as simple as a letter or note about Baelon's death would serve an important plot and thematic usage in making Stannis the last of the Five Kings and excusing why Yara and the other Ironborn were stupid to follow her father.

I didn't believe the theory when I first heard it, but the TV show's circumstantial evidence is making me reconsider it.

damn man you missed the Blue Maul 1.5 page chapter?... that baby had an unusual amount of midichlorians in his stool sample.

and they made the GA think hes a bit of a prick for breaking ManLaw and put his blonde hoe before his bro

Victarion = Pinky
Moqorro = The Brain

I'd read it.

Let's talk about the Pink Letter. The more I consider Mance's character, the more I think it likely that he either wrote the letter, or is conspiring with the Boltons. Consider Roose Bolton's policy: a quiet land, a peaceful people. If the wildlings stick with Stannis, Roose will have a people at war. Either against himself and his bastard, or against Stannis, his wildlings and his bizarre religion. This war doesn't bode well for Mance, either. He knows that a united people will be necessary to stand against the Others. Mance could do more for his people if he strikes a bargain with Bolton in which the wildlings are given the Gift with the current, recognized king's seal to make it official. This bargain also removes a sizeable threat to Roose's people by robbing Stannis of a good many potential soldiers in the wildlings.

Granted...we're not taking into account Lord Manderly. Last we saw of him, I think either a Frey or Bolton attacked him with a blade. As I recall, it only went through 1-2 chins, so he should still have some life left in him.

Yet i will still complain about it lol.

Mini rant: Why spoil the reveal of Drogo (how he looks in season 5), i was assuming it would be a big reveal for episode 9.
