Christ, now you're just trying to play devil's advocate.

I don't know who 'they' is you are referring to as the people who said it wasn't mel... but if its HBO or D&D or something... well of course they wouldn't admit it was Mel.

I'm not suggesting that Maisie Williams or Kit or anyone actually say "He's alive, he gets ressurected, he's Azor Ahai Reborn, son of Rhaegar and Lyanna". But them going out of their way to lie when the entire fanbase is certain of his return and various media outlets are reporting him on set...it's unseemly, and it opens a can of worms. Look at what happened throughout the production of TFA. Because of the Khan thing people were second guessing everything Abrams said, because of precedence and that sort of nonsense gave us the "Snoke=Plagueis" theory. Misinformation is rarely a good thing, especially since they can very well keep the secret and fulfil their contractual silence by, you know, being silent.

The rolling sort of sound? I can't put my finger on the instrument used.

Sounds cliche, but I like where Stannis's theme goes in season four when he and Davos emerge from the smoke. Where they dismount, approaching Jon and Mance.

its a synthesizer, imo. if you listen closely you can keep hearing the same type of sound... if it isn't a synthesizer it is definitely something from the Dutch.

but it sounds like a robot fart.

Oh yeah definitely those as well. And Mhysa and Children get a lot of play on my phone as well. Djawadi has a direct line to my emotions.

I had forgotten how damn unnerving Djawadi's Sons of the Harpy theme was. That ****ing chanting creeps me the **** out.

MHYSA... don't get me started... I love that song... but it was used for a crap moment lol I had such high hopes it would start playing and we'd see Stoneheart.

then again... she'd probably have some creep ass dark music.

Yeah thats the one. I think Reeks right about the synth. I dont know of a natural instrument that can make a sound like that without post-processing.

One of the best things about Djawadi is that he takes character themes and gives them a progression with the slightest tweaks. The Greyjoy theme goes through a pretty clear devolution of sorts to signify Theon's physical decay, and likewise goes from being proud and aggressive to somber and mournful. His Stannis themes are much the same; it's basically thunderous and gloomy intermingled with the more ominous Melisandre/Lord of Light theme. As much as I hate the scene and general direction they went, the actual theme "Forgive Me" is one of the saddest things I've ever heard and it's basically just Stannis theme stretched out and slowed down to convey the agony of the character.

And of course the Bolton theme is amazing as a sort of agressive, evil Stark theme. I'm extremely curious in that sense to hear what he has planned for Euron, hopefully it's as satanic as his Sons of the Harpy piece. His Dracula Untold soundtrack is great in that regard.

On the subject of that scene, Roose - the way we're directed to the pyre, with the one soldier standing off to the side and Mel entering from the other side...its a very nice looking scene.

It was the WatchersontheWall.com fansite. When they posted the pics, they couldn't tell if it was her or not, and sided on it not being her. They break stories quite often, so they are pretty good at this stuff. I believe they are the result of a breakaway from WinterisComing.net, which went to crap when the break happened.

But did that hurt the story of TFA? Did it hurt the box office and fan approval? Because the movie is one of the greatest success in cinema history.

Also the entire fanbase doesn't know. The majority of Game of Thrones fans do not frequent this kind of stuff. We still have a whole lot of casual articles wondering what happened to Jon. Look at all the crazy theories.

Serious question though. What harm comes from them saying he is dead, which is true? Do we think him resurrecting is going to have less of an impact because they "lied"? Do we think people aren't going to lose their mind with joy when they realize he is back? What harm can possibly come from this? That they don't trust the GoT crew about this stuff anymore? That is a bonus for them.

Because it keeps the general audience that much more wary... as stupid as it is... the general audience is too.

Every major death was pretty much 'yep hes dead'... Jons wasnt so cut and dry to the GA...

    Ned... no head.

    Drogo... burned to ash.

Robb... has a dog head now.

    Oberyn... pop goes the weasel

Jon... still has a head... not burned...

Cat... still has a head... but the GA never expected her to live til the end... Jon is a much bigger part.

If someone is interested enough in the show to read/watch/listen to an interview from an actor discussing Season 6 then chances are that they've read/watched/listened to any of the numerous others discussing Kit Harrington's appearances in the production of Season 6.

It does no harm to the show as a whole, but on an indivual level it lowers their integrity in my eyes as a viewer of that show. Am I representative of the entire viewing audience as a whole? No. But speaking from my own perspective I find the casual underestimation of the audience to be irksome.

But let me ask you this, what harm does remaining silent bring? If someone came up to you and asked how a character's arc progresses in the novels because they intended to read them, would you give them a lie or would you tell that person to be patient and read for themselves? I don't see why this alternative is so abhorrent to some.
