So that's why I'm never able to get on there! Every Sunday there is something I want to look up, but it's always down. It never obscured that it was down because of traffic.

It comes and goes. Right now it seems ok, but it could be down again before I finish this sentence. The Tower of the Hand is good too, but I much prefer the Wiki layout that AWOIAF uses.

Will they be using [blackout]Michelle Fairley for Lady Stoneheart anyway[/blackout]? Maybe it's scheduling conflict.

Good ending to the season even though they didn't show LS at the end. That fight with Brienne and Sandor Clegane was great, most of this hits actually looked real unlike a lot of hand to hand fights in a good number of recent films.

When it came to The Mountain, I thought he was going to be screaming in pain throughout his scenes but I guess they'll save that for Season 5.

One thing I love about this series's sword fights is that the swords actually look like they weigh 40 & 50 pounds. In movies people sling swords around like they are made out of carbon fiber, but steel is heavy and inertia and gravity is a *****. Even strong people can only sling them so fast. In the Brienne/Hound fight you could tell those swords had weight and it gave the fight more intensity even though it wasn't as fast as some movie fights.

Well I'd be lying if I said that wasn't a little disappointing. I still say Stannis' rescue would have been more effective in the previous episode. And if we had gotten a certain someone in the screen time allotted to that instead, it would have been much more of a "holy s***" kind of finale, imo. But oh well, at least they didn't end it on the Daenerys scene, lol.

She may not be needed at all and likely doesn't play a huge role in the endgame which could explain why D&D have cut her. Beric was introduced for other reasons and he still served a purpose even if they never introduce LS.

I think it's still to early to call if they've cut her or not. Though I would agree, so far anyway, her character really hasn't done that much. Though she is implicated in the disappearance of a certain main character later on down the line. If that turns into something, she'll probably show up on the show.

Yeah that will be the true indicator.

Do you mean 4 or 5 pounds? Medieval fighting swords rarely weighed more than 4lbs, and certainly none were 40 or 50. At least, none that were used practically.

Don't get me wrong though. That's still pretty heavy when you're swinging it around, and you're not going to be able to move it very fast. Most rapiers and short swords were in the 1.5 to 3lb range, so a 4 or 5lb sword is quite heavy.

And I think that is completely wrong. The chances she won't be involved in the Jon situation is zero imo.

I love that Brienne pulled a Mike Tyson on the Hound. :)

Them trading crotch hits was great. My wife and I couldn't decide who to root for. I've come to like The Hound, even though he's still a scumbag.

But she isn't anywhere near the wall when the Jon thing happens, right. I was thinking if anyone dealt with that it would be Mellisandre since she is already on hand.

The Hound is like Jaime. You start off hating him and then they made him likeable.

I honestly just wanted them to stop fighting and make a truce. I'm such a softy. :(

After what we got in this episode, I don't know how anyone can be disappointed. Focus on what was in there rather than what wasn't.

I think the show watchers had enough chaos for one episode.

Tywin is dead, Shae is dead, Jojen is dead, The Hound is probably dead, Ayra is now on her own heading to Braavos, , Stannis is the Mannis at the Wall, Bran reached the crow and the children of the forest exist, Hodor is still Hodoring, etc...

I agree.

I need to Google who that old guy is that Bran was talking to in the cave.

I was like that when I was reading it.....even if it wasn't even Brienne that fought him, lol.

Brienne and The Hound beating the **** out of each other was awesome.

The whole climactic Tyrion stuff felt a little rushed to me and not as epic as I hoped for.

Kind of bummed about Jojen.

The skeletons were awesome.

Those scenes were great, but the overall episode lacked a cohesiveness and focus. It seemed like a series of vignettes. I prefer finales that have a building crescendo and then leave you emotionally ruined by the end. This had many small gut punches, but each one kept distracting from the last. Felt rushed.

Also, you might want to add spoiler tags.

Wait…. WHAT? Then who? You can put your answer in spoilers if you want.
Doesnt matter. I believe it was Biter who has been offed already. If not him then brigands in a bar, something like that. They wanted the bounty on the Hound. My memory is poor but I know it wasn't Brienne for sure, lol.

"Happy Father's Day" - Game of Thrones

Great episode overall.
