Technically speaking, Game of Thrones and Chernobyl would be nominated in different categories as GOT qualifies as a drama series and Chernobyl as a miniseries. He wasn't throwing shade.

Well, Harris wouldn’t be nominated in the same category as say, Kit Harrington. Harris would be up for, Outstanding Lead Actor in a limited series or movie as opposed to Kit who would be Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama series. I don’t recall how it works in terms of technical stuff, but at least from an acting stand point there’s no crossover.

As Roose said, the acting categories would be separate. As for technical awards, I haven't seen Chernobyl (yet), but it's doubtful that any show is going to beat GOT on the visual effects front.

I don’t believe he’s been satisfied with the show for a long time, you can read between the lines enough to see that he hasn’t really dug the show since Season 4. But at the end of the day he’s signed a deal with HBO and it’s not professional to **** talk the people you work with.

The prequel show's title seems to have leaked with the logo...and it's pretty stupid:


They should have went with "The Long Night" like George wanted.

Edit: I wonder if they abandoned the Long Night title because of the backlash to GOT Season 8's "Not So Long Night". Trying to put some distance between this show and that negativity.
