The Dark Knight Rises Gary Oldman - "We start shooting next year. You didn't hear that from me"

Fair enough Fat.

But I think the studios realize that "fanboys" are their largest demographic. And regarding releasing Batman 3 in the fall/winter, maybe--just maybe--the allure of a comic book movie having a chance at winning an Oscar is too big of an allure to resist.

Well if it comes out in 2011, i really dont care which month it is in. But if it is 2012, i want it to be in the summer. That would be my final summer as a "Kid" so i would love to go out in a bang ;)

Batman Begins: 7th Grade

The Dark Knight: 9th Grade

Batman 3: 12th grade

It's so weird to think that these movies spanned my middle school and high school career. Its kinda sad too, i'm growing up...:(

Yeah.....no.

To wrap up Nolan's world / storylines. Yes.

To end the franchise? :down

how weird would it be to have a nolan world in the third, and then a burton world in a fourth? That would just be weird...

Largest demographic? You can't be serious. And the Oscar, while possible... is unlikely and probably won't even be worth chasing. And WB has that massive a film from a HUGE franchise with a third installment that someone was comparing BB3 to earlier in the Hobbit. They aren't going to push that to the summer unless there are some serious delays. Neither will they move Part 2 of an action packed HP out of the summer to accomodate Batman. Just not gonna happen barring something catastrophic.

Oh my god?! Did we just become best friends?!?!
Well there are 51 people viewing this board as I last checked, and in groups of 50 or more the probability that two people will share a birthday is over 90% so it's not actually that big of a coincidence.

I wouldn't worry too much about that update, he probably just got a slap on the wrist from WB and had to back off his statement. I don't think he would have said "You didn't hear it from me" if he didn't actually have some kind of information.

Absolutely. Warners was initially going to release GL on 12/17/2010, but then pushed it back six months to allow for more production time. Plus, Superman was released December 1978 and it was a hit back then.

Again, moving a third Batfilm to November/December 2011 poses another set of problems. One, Warners risks competiting against itself as The Hobbit (via its New Line affliate) comes out during the Christmas holidays and Happy Feet 2 is coming out in the prime Thanksgiving spot that same year.

That seems like a highly improbable statistic.

That's nothing new. Seems like Oldman just trying to downplay what was obviously a huge reaction to one very simple sentence. I wouldn't be surprised if he got taken to the side and instructed in how to address future questions regarding the topic. He was certainly forthcoming with the initial statement.

i know this sounds crazy, and i know i will get a lot of crap for it, but i still have hope for WB making an official announcement by the end of the weekend or week. whos with me!?!?

Ok -- I'm back alive. A third Batman film is listed as under production on Imdb Pro. Does that have any validity.

Actually, at 57 people the probability is over 99%, and reaches 100% when there are 366 people. :o

:woot: ;)

i dont think so, Imdb thought aunt may would play carnage for crying out loud. haha

Wikipedia never lies!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthday_problem

The common misconception is that people think of it as "what are the odds of someone else having the same birthday as I do" when the real question is "what are the odds that any two of these people share a birthday?"

Edit: bullets, IMDb isn't really too reliable when it comes to films in pre-production. Until studios release official info most of that stuff is user-submitted speculation.

(1000 arbitrary points if you can find the irony in this post!)
