also, this piece of Dark Rey art comes with the new issue of EMPIRE.

I love the design of her Sith saber. Especially how thin it is in the middle. It's no thicker than a baton in the middle. It's so much more elegant than Maul's double blade hilt.

They really missed a golden opportunity with Rey's Jedi saber. In TFA Rey is introduced with a staff. It's clear shes capable with it and she carries it with her throughout TFA and TLJ. In TLJ the Skywalker saber was destroyed. The logical next step in the story and for Rey would have been for Leia to give Rey her old saber. Then Rey takes Leia's old saber and the damaged Skywalker saber and combines them making a new double bladed saber that honors both her masters, Luke and Leia. On top of that it would have been a mirror to this dark vision of Sith Rey.

And giving Rey a double bladed Jedi saber would have made her fights with Kylo in this film much different from her fight with Kylo in TFA. It would have made strategic sense too because she would be entering the fight knowing how Kylo fights with his saber, but he would have no clue how she fights with a double blade.

In a strange place with Star Wars right now. Glad it's in a better place with the masses, but I'm not too keen on the Mandalorian after 2 episodes and I think I'm gonna wait a while to play Fallen Order. It's mostly still Episode 9 that I'm craving.

Im absolutely loving Mandalorian and its currently my favorite show, but Im still most excited for The Rise of Skywalker. Its hard for me to imagine any star wars content getting me as pumped as I am for IX haha.
