Ghost Rider 2 In The Works - Part 2

Agreed. Like the co-director said in the interview, he's trying to keep the pace fast and some sacrifices had to be made in the editing process. I'm just hoping for one thing: Maximum Ghost Rider screen presence.

I don't mind that it's roughly 90 minutes. Why in the hell would anyone think this movie, by those directors(I loved the Crank movies by the way, not really knocking them), would have much character developement?

All I expect is some bad ass action and not much else coming from them.

How much character developpment do you need for a guy with his head on fire?

Anyways, if its 90% action, 10% filler, I am down with that...

Exactly. Not every movie must be a deeply, story-driven Oscar-worthy and critically acclaimed masterpiece. This isn't the kind of movie that needs a deep plot, character development or even coherent writing. It's about a guy with a flaming skull for a head who kills demons and other evil things going bump in the night. Sign me up.

Hope the sacrifices in editing don't result in crappy super fast cuts like Bourne 2-3, Battle LA or Transformers 2. I HATE that disgusting super shaky footage with super fast cuts that make action scenes incomprehensible.

I don't think that's what he meant, I think that the sacrifices in editing is removing scenes that slow the pace, IE character development/story in exchange for a shorter, tighter-paced movie. Knowing what Cage's acting is like, I'd rather have a short, action-packed movie. Just not Punisher Warzone round 2

I'm hoping for a movie even half as fun as War Zone. That movie was a riot.

*remembers Ink getting hole punched in his face* lol Clllassic.

I love War Zone. Dont know what everyone's problem was...it was horrible, but all the violence made it watchable. And all the dialogue was hilariously bad.

I see. Hopefully this is a the case and not super fast incomprehensible editing / cuts.
Also, I kinda liked Punisher Warzone thought agree that it wasn't a good movie. Heck, it was pretty bad and wasted someone like Dominic West but it was definitely fun.

For some reason, the video doesn't load on my Google Chrome :(

I love hilariously bad, and War Zone was NOT that. It was just bad. ANNOYINGLY bad.

No way. Any film with that much head crushing is great. Almost every scene is someone's head getting blown off.

Ray Stevenson is the best Punisher ever.

FACT. Seriously, he was the most perfect casting choice for a superhero I've ever seen. Marvel did an excellent job with Thor and IM casting but neither of those heroes were this close to perfection in terms of main character.

Plus lots of awesome kills is instant win for any film, no matter how crappy acting or script get.

I don't understand why they are making this film in the first place.

They are making this film because the rights were about to expire. Companies like Sony don't want anyone to get a property back and make it more successful than they did or make more money on it than they did. This is part of why Fox started the lawsuit with Time Warner over Watchmen. It was to help save face for the company.

To make up for the pile of worthless dung known as Ghost Rider.

I'm a full supporter of reboots.

This is the sole reason. They made the Street Fighter 2 movie (Chun Li legend or something) just to keep the rights if I'm not mistaken. Some times they try to use the situation as a chance to get something interesting off the ground and give it a last shot (Man of Steel) but most of the time it's the super rushed job.
Hopefully GR2 can go beyond the reasoning behind it and become a fun action flick.
