Same here. I've always love Scorpion in Mortal Kombat because of his fire based powers (and fatality). He's basically the video game version of Ghost Rider so, I demand to see Toasty fatality performed by Nic Cage!

Ghost Rider does something similar to the "Toasty" fatality when that dude shoots him the face in the face at the end of the teaser trailer.

I just hope beyond all the crazy ideas they have for the fire we get some good fight scene's (one in the script with Blackoutino sounds crap) and the short run-time leaves room to explore the characters a bit.

The first movie didnt really explore that JB and GR were 2 seperate entities and I really hope we get that in this new movie.

Yeah I hope the crazy ideas with for fire are mixed in with the fights to give us some truly awesome action scenes.

The directors talked about how this film goes alot deeper into Johnny Blaze and Ghost Rider's relationship, they also talked about how they're going be at odds with each other.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing when I saw that poster yesterday. GR better make a cameo.

D-9 was also directed by a man who knows visual effects in and out.

These guys are pretty good behind the camera too. They know what they are doing. Cost of CGI depends a lot on the director. An inexperienced director who hasn't done big action stuff before is obviously not gonna be as tech savvy as guys like Neveldine and Taylor.

Don't get me wrong, these guys are fantastic. But they're not effects guys. They're camera guys.

Which is not a problem for me.

They are excellent "practical effects" guys though, to tell the truth there's not really a big need for CGI besides Ghost Rider himself & his flamming attacks.

Good call on "practical effects". If done right, they can reach greatness that CG scenes can't even dream about. Not that CG is bad or anything though. Movies like Dark Knight or Black Swan that use it in controlled doses along with the practical effects, they're the ones that reach perfection. If these guys really do end up combining 2 methods properly, even with a limited budget the movie could have a truly decent look.

Yeah it's not like this is THOR or Green Lantern where they have to create entire worlds, Ghost Rider doesn't need big effects or a large budget in this film since he's gonna be fighting mostly humans and one demon/vampire dude.

Now if they decide to make a film about Ghost Rider traveling to hell to battle Mephisto then a fairly large budget and a good deal of CGI would be necessary.

Wow, Sony really IS sleep. Even Lion Gate released the second trailer for the Hunger Games... and that film's opening a month later than GR2.

I'm almost positive that the 2nd trailer for GR:SOV is gonna be released later this week or sometimes next week at the latest.

Leaked poster?

That poster looks badass, I just wish they used a fully transformed GR with a silhouette of Nic Cages face in the background instead of GR's body with Nic's head.

Maybe this means we're getting another trailer soon? :awesome:

Fingers crossed!

Yeah hopefully tomorrow or some other day this week, oh and I love how "fiery" the poster looks I can't wait to see what all cool things GR does with fire in this film.

The Nic Cage face truly ruins that poster. I'm with BigThor on the suggestion about having the full GR face rather than the actor. I don't hate Cage and actually like him as GR but in that poster... Meh indeed.

They could at least make half of his faced burned / "GR"ified.

Yeah I think it's a pretty good poster, but a fully transformed Ghost Rider would've made it MUCH better.

Ghost Rider 1 is batter the 2 i think.

Movie-quality wise, we can't judge before seeing the 2nd film. Poster-quality wise, I have to disagree. The 2 bubble-heads design of GR1 poster was simply dumb. This one looks ok aside from bad placement of Nic Cage's face.
