Well these guys did the script for Jonah Hex... and it was awesome. Then WB completely butchered it and watered it down, and what we got in the finished film was a travesty.

Neveldine and Taylor do have talent beyond being directors. I would have hoped for a pretty cool and out their story. It'd be interesting what they could have done if this was a hard R film. An adaptation of Garth Ennis' "Road to Damnation" would be right up their street. Really violent, amazing action scenes and a bizarre, jet black sense of humour.

You guys say things like that...but come Feb, you'll be whining how bad this was. Because, it WILL be bad. However, it will be FUN. And AWESOME. Visually cool, but not good in the story, plot, department.

I hope you know what this movie is going to be.

That's exactly what I'm thinking as well. It will be similar to the movie Drive Angry, bad movie, but cool as ****.

Wait, why the hell was my last post, posted 3 times? Damn you internets.
Anyway, just saw a couple of more BNAT reviews and even more AICN reviewers have trashed the movie :(
I really don't go by what AICN says. There's MAYBE 2 peeps there I agree with.

Besides GR is one of those characters you need a certain taste for. lol

That's a great example!

Drive Angry is one of those movies where everyone knew exactly what they were doing.

That's the movie I warmed up to Cage to another Ghost Rider...no pun intended. :awesome:

Yeah, I'm going into this with low expectations.

Finally saw the trailer and it looks great, but like others have said, a lot of the action seems to be in the same sequence so I hope we havent seen all the best bits. The reviews we have make me think have but we'll see.

Brian and Taylor are going to deliver the weirdness. That's going to be enough for me.

I have Great Expectations…

I prefer Oliver Twist, though. :)

There are a handful of shots in the second trailer showing chromatic aberration... yellow on one side, blue on the other. Could this be the new Penance Stare effect?

What do you mean by that?

That could also mean they're keeping alot of action sequences hidden, I think that's a reason why the re-used a large amount of footage from the first trailer.

Saw the new trailer just now. I loved Ghost Rider's voice when he said "road kill...". That was pretty sick. After seeing the second trailer, I think my expetactions and anticipation are a little higher. Looks like a kickass action flick.

I liked the first trailer and this one was even better to me,Now watching it on my TV(Youtube on Xbox 360)..Pretty f'n awesome!!

The first movie as an adaption was bad But as a film itself I thought it was alright,I think this one will be beyond better,I haven't read any of the early reviews and not going to since it's all OPINIONS and I just listen to my own!!!

I guess the shots in the trailer of GR and Blackout fighting prove that their lame fight in the script has either been scrapped or modified.

Film #10- GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE- So, the first GHOST RIDER is one of the worst superhero movies ever made. Atrocious. Terrible. I hated it. I was lucky enough to see the movie at a free screening, and I still wanted a refund. Needless to say, this sequel was fighting an uphill battle with me right from the get go. And I’ll be honest… it did not totally win me over. Is it better than the first? Um, yeah. Is it a good movie? Well… Hm. I will say that the effects and stunts are very cool in this movie. Also, the look of the hero is infinitely better in this iteration, as he is sporting a really cool burnt skull look, as opposed to the squeaky-clean white skull that he had in the first film. I still enjoy Nicholas Cage’s portrayal of Johnny Blaze, as he cranks the insanity up to an unreal level. As a balls to the wall action flick, there are certainly worse ways for you to blow an hour and a half. For diehard fans of the character, this film may even be a dream come true. Because whether it is good or bad, it is pretty darn cool, and has enough jaw-dropping moments to merit at least one viewing. If I were to give any advice, I wish the filmmakers would have taken it even more over the top. I know that there would be those who would cry foul if the character diverted too much from the source material, but I am really beginning to wonder how many truly inspirational, deep scripts screenwriters are going to be able to get out of this character without making some slight adjustments. Normally, I am kind of a stickler for established elements of existing characters when they are moved to a different medium. In the case of the Ghost Rider character, I might be willing to make an exception. Or, they should do one in the old west where he is back on horseback. That would get my butt in a seat for a third film. Overall, this was an ok film, with some pretty cool action sequences peppered throughout. Also, film geeks will dig the cameo at about the midpoint. That is all I will say about that.

This sounds about right.

That review makes no sense. It's basically saying:

I HATED IT. Then says: It had good action scenes, effects, and stunts; GR's appearance has improved; Die hard fans will think it is a dream come true; It is better than the first; I would rather it be a cowboy themed movie; it was an okay film, pretty cool, film geeks will dig the cameo..

Make up your mind dude.

Um, yes he did:

Yeah, from what I read, he's talking about the first film.

Yeah, he's talking about the first.

good to know i'm not the only one who only listens to 2 peoples reviews there... lol.

Hell yeah, I hope one of them is knocked off that car at some point so their fight can continue on solid ground.

I really want to see them trading blows evenlywithout one of them dominating the other.
