It's still really bothering more than I thought it would, especially just being at the firehouse last week. I am continuing my Ramis Marathon today, and feel I should do it every year on the anniversary of his passing.

I watch Ghostbusters every year , but now I'm tempted to watch everything including Year One. I was excited about seeing him do another Ghostbusters. Even if the movie wasn't as good , he would still be awesome.

I watch Ghostbusters every six months or so, and the sequel probably once a year but his talent was so vast and so MANY amazing films he was involved with, the GB films are only a small portion of that.

The Egon's Ghost episode of the 1986 series is gonna hit me hard now.

It's what they do with every other ghost so why not?

He also directed one of the greatest Summer Vacation films of all time:

so they will trap their friend?

woow

Well, then they can carry him around on missions and stuff, and release him when they need to ask him questions about science.

I got nothing, sorry, I'm sure it was a well intentioned cartoon that just gets misinterpreted.

it didnt got misinterpreted. this was meant to be a tribute. after someone dies you dont draw an image with so much history behind it.

''they are sad and waving good boy. after that they will carry him around from place A to place B''.

it is a failure. its looks creepy.

Ramis deserves better than a f ghost trap.

I suppose they could try to work Egon's ghost into it, as long as Ramis' family was OK with the treatment and it didn't get tasteless. He wouldn't have to have lines or take shape, the other guys could somehow know it was him.

However, if Murray still refuses to be involved, I'd say just forget it unless the script is absolutely first rate. You can never recapture the 1980s magic anyway and Ramis deserves better than a botched tribute.

They should just let this die now. But of course they wont..

Honestly the only person into another Ghostbuster at all is dan akroyd. Bill Murray wants no part of it, Ramis of course has just passed. It's more like Akroyd's obsessed passion project at this point more so than a real thing.

From reddit:

Well like I said before, When I drew this, the scene popped into my head of Egon actually wanting to know what it was like to go into the trap. I never meant to imply that they'd stick him in the containment unit with the other ghosts ;P. He's smiling and saying good-bye like "no... it's fine, guys. I'll be fine!" More importantly, I was just sad today after finding out that Harold is gone. I just wanted to draw something in tribute to him and this is what popped in to my head.
