I'd actually think McCarthy would be the Ray of the group. She kinda needs to go more happy go lucky. Venkman often was the one that had slapstick happen to him, I think it'd be funnier if the hottest one had that happen.

They are all pretty funny imo. Ralph Fiennes isn't a "comedic" actor either. The dude is a riot.

I still can't understand what they are thinking. Do they expect Ghostbusters fans to be excited about this? I want a seqel that is set in the same universe and I want to hear the theme song again. Also they could sell a lot more merchandise and toys if they would make a normal Ghostbusters movie.

I think they think if they can make this work they will make a lot of money. And I think they are right. But it has to work.

Personally speaking, I'm totally onboard with a new Ghostbusters movie that's got an all female team. I'm not onboard with another Paul Feige/Melissa McCarthy movie.

Ghostbusters fans will go just out of curiosity. No one who is a fan of the franchise will not see it, whether they do it for free or pay for it. Women will go by default a la Bridesmaids.

Well, that's sort of what the original films did.

They didn't cast hot young guys... so why would they cast hot young girls because they want it all female?

I'm pretty passionate about the franchise. It doesn't touch the original, but I'll never understand that hate.
