Ghostbusters 3 - Part 3

I still can't understand what they are thinking. Do they expect Ghostbusters fans to be excited about this? I want a seqel that is set in the same universe and I want to hear the theme song again. Also they could sell a lot more merchandise and toys if they would make a normal Ghostbusters movie.

Don't know if they are thinking about merchandising and toys much. Otherwise they would have a half Female and Male cast. While younger girls will be gaining more interest to the franchise and charcters (which needed to be addressed), they will lose their younger male demo by not having any Ghostbusters for them to relate to. Unless of course they release an animated series that has both. That covers it and won't interfere with the film much.

Our worst case scenario became a reality. Couldn't be unhappier with the new cast. It is the absolute worst case scenario. I will not be watching it. Totally mindblowingly disastrous. Unreal. Un. Real.

Even if you download a torrent of this thing or theatre hop into it, you're still gonna tell somebody about the movie which in turn will give them the push to check it out for themselves so they get more viewers regardless.

OMG...

I'm still waiting for someone to explain these reactions to me... I'm legitimately CONFUSED.:huh::huh:

I haven't seen those actors in any movies so I don't really know what to expect. I fear that it's going to be some comedy which target audience are women.

This seems to be another Paul Feige/Mellisa McCarthy movie. Not everyone has liked their output, I hated The Heat and didn't care for Bridesmaids. Their output has been subpar, therefore them teaming up again on a franchise that I enjoy (well the two films at least) is something I'm not liking at all.

Ghostbusters fans will go just out of curiosity. No one who is a fan of the franchise will not see it, whether they do it for free or pay for it. Women will go by default a la Bridesmaids.

Well guess I'm not a woman then. :o

Oh yeah, I forgot to add Liam Hemsworth apparently taking over the lead in the ID4 sequel. A dark day, a dark day indeed....

Pretty sure it's that alot people don't like or are just sick of Mcarthy.

With the film itself it is rewriting the mythos and not including essential characters. Same complaints would happen if you replace the 4 main characters of any franchise that has lasted over 20 years in comics, film and tv.

I don't really find McCarthy funny. I like Leslie Jones, but it seems the majority of people hate her. Love Kate McKinnon. Kristen Wiig....is she even relevant anymore? Was she ever really? Not crazy about Paul Feig films, they are pretty mediocre/average at best.

Shame really, but I'll wait for a trailer. Otherwise, this screams download.

Puke, outside of Wiig who is only good (tolerable) in dramatic roles.

On one hand, I'd love actresses like Emma Stone, Aisha Tyler, Brie Larson, Charlene Yi, Gillian Jacobs, or Aubrey Plaza...

But, on the other hand none of the actresses should limit themselves with an idiotic reboot of a dear at heart franchise like Ghostbusters.

Is Wiig ''relevant''?! She's probably the only reason I'll see this.

We all gunna die.

Brie Larson. :atp:

I don't know about you guys, but I'm excited about McCarthy chasing Slimer down the hotel hallway and falling down and going boom.

I'm pretty passionate about the franchise. It doesn't touch the original, but I'll never understand that hate.
There is a pale imitation quality to it. It just isn't as well written and treads familiar ground.

Well, that's sort of what the original films did.

They didn't cast hot young guys... so why would they cast hot young girls because they want it all female?

Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence are both funny and have been funny in films before. I don't think they were named just because they're "hot".

Also, Ernie Hudson was not a comedian or comedic actor when he was cast.

I think thats my biggest concern too, it goes full slapstick. Ghostbusters3: The Bridesmaids.:csad:
