Wouldn't be so bad if it were a "side-boot", have them in another city and just be a franchise. No need to completely erase the first movies

Well... it's something

I have so much respect for Bill Murray. Unlike so many, he's smart enough to know to leave well enough alone and not go back to the well.

That EW cover makes me really sad. Not just because of this GB reboot stuff, but Ramis being gone just kills me.

Its nice to see then reunited , but it's a huge tease. I really think they could have made a good sequel. I'm even less excited about a reboot knowing they won't be involved. Murray is funny though , he'll wear the costume for special events. It would be amazing if this group did a comic con appearance together.

Its bittersweet. Hopefully the lesson is learned not to hold grudges and they can look at that time more fondly.

Upon re-watching GB2 it's interesting to note the impact the cartoon series had on it. The tone seemed a lot more kid-friendly than part 1, it was definitely missing that bite the first one had.

I think if GB2 was better received we would have had a 3rd one years ago. Although going by the history of threequels that would have then been the one everybody dumped on?

I have to say that many episodes of The Real Ghostbusters, especially from seasons 1-2, were better written than Ghostbusters 2.

The Real Ghostbusters cartoon was awesome. I have great memories of that show.

if i wouldnt see the video i wouldnt belive that they were standing together. :)

How the hell is it possible that Tina Fey looks younger than Lindsay Lohan?

Botox: Making young women look old, and elderly women look like lizard people since 1980.

While that EW cover is amazing it really did make me sad that Ramis wasn't a part of it. Such a loss.

"But the experience of playing Winston Zeddemore—the fourth Ghostbuster, for lack of a better title..."

Um...Winston IS the fourth Ghostbuster! It's the best title for him because that's what he is. Sheesh, even the guy who wrote the article dissed the poor guy!

Poor Ernie Hudson! His character was awesome in the film. My favorite part is the dialogue he has with Ray. "Hey Ray. Do you believe in God?"

The most shocking thing about that article is that Ernie Hudson is 68. The guy could easily pass for early 50s.

His character was sort of underused. For a group that at least appeared to be all equals, Winston sort of seemed more like an assistance than full fledged member at times.

That article can be summed up in one picture:

It reminded me of the situation with TMNT 2. They had to tone down that film because of parent complaints so it seemed like the first film was an adaptation of the comics and secret of the ooze was adapting the cartoon.

It's a shame that Ernie Hudson has some regrets. I always liked his character and thought how he got hired was one of the funniest moments. His role is less significant but Ive always considered him equal.

GB II could have easily had the bite of the first film...I think the filmmakers really held themselves back with the affect that the mood slime had on the New Yorkers, because it could have gotten really vicious, really ugly.

I always liked Winston because as the blue-collar of the group he was much more the Everyman than any of the other three - fast-talking-smoothie Peter, uber-nerd Egon or overgrown-little-kid Ray. That scene in the Mayor's office, and his lines, just click so well not just for the humor of them but also at the narrative standpoint of trying to convince the Mayor and his staffers that this isn't just some wild-eyed mass hallucination - it takes the one who's sort of outside the triad of oddball to just plain get to the point after Venkman and Peck go at it again.
I think he does get slighted because he doesn't show up until halfway through the picture, though.
