The other alternative to GB3 I vould think of is to take the Extreme route with that line up only having Ray serve Egon's role as mentor to the group and especially Kylie (a la the IDW comics) plus a now grown up Oscar as the fifth member continuting his stepdad (Venkman)'s legacy.

This and the previous pitch are a sight better than what Feig's planning

I think her sarcy and dry delivery of humour would mirror Bill Murray in the original rather well

I wouldn't be surprised if they're having emergency meetings up the wazoo.

To be fair, they do have some legit issues that they're aware of: Not enough original content besides Adam Sandler movies; and the budget for the new Bond which is INSANE.

No one wants a Ghostbusters movie with a bunch of fat, unfunny, unattractive female leads. Sony is so f'n clueless, I'm so glad they're being destroyed right now.

You forgot the sassy black or Asian woman in a secondary/tertiary role to show that these girls are cosmopolitan enough to know ethnic people but are still white enough as to not offend the mainstream audience.

it's not about ruining the old films
it's about not getting to see their continued adventures in a way we'd care to see
If they make this movie, it doesn't mean I can't watch Ghostbusters ever again, it means I'll never get to see a GB3 that's any good, which is sad, and disappointing

granted, people who say these things "ruin their childhood" are being totally ridiculous
but that's not what most people say
we say "I want a good sequel, dammit, I love these characters, and I want more to love"

not at all. find her extremely overrated, overexposed (in more ways than one... ba-zing!) and just generally irritating. I believe her star will fade as her largely young fans grow to understand what acting is
