Days of Future Past Girl gone ROGUE Thread (ANNA PAQUIN's BACK..FALSE ALARM SHE'S BEEN CUT) - Part 4

Lauren and Channing have worked together in another movie some years ago, and it seemed they are friends, from a past interview.

And lets remember that Channing was a top choice for X3, but it didnt happen, so I guess Lauren has been wanting Channing since then.

Im glad most of the reactions to this latest interview have been negative. And surprisingly, many people on twitter have been saying they liked Taylor and that he was fine, so lets hope Lauren and Singer see the Taylor support.

Taylor was fine, but he wasn't so amazing that I'd really care too much if they recast him.

I agree that Taylor was fine and I would be excited to see him fully realized. But like Zaron I wouldn't lose sleep over Channing. Because I hate Origins so much that even though Taylor and Liev were good, it still isn't canon to me. I hate the movie.

Taylor wasnt amazing because the director and writers didnt do their best job to give us an awesome Gambit.

He had a small role, and not enough cool material to shine like Gambit uses to.

But... I watched the movie recently, and the very first scene of him, on the casino, Taylor showed a really sexy and charming side that I really loved and that could make him a great Gambit in another movie, with the right material AND director.

Im sure if Bryan used him along with Anna, he and writers could do pretty special moments with the two, and I would bet that MOST of the audience would go crazy about it.

Its just a too hot and iconic couple that many people is familiar with, so seeing that on the big screen..... is golden stuff in the waiting.

But they are waiting too much time to my taste. Lets hope we get a great announcement this year at Comic Con, after the big numbers of DOFP.

Yeah his first scene was good, if only it was from a different X-Men movie :/

My favorite part of The Wolverine is that since Wolvie can somehow remember his bone claw days, it contradicts Origins. That's all the excuse I need to consider Origins no longer canon.

imagine the same scenario, but instead of Wolverine, with Rogue searching for him

:wow:

and then some tension between them, and Gambit flirting with her, I would love to see all of that on the big screen.

And then Rogue acting cold and superior to him, but just playing with him, hehe

damm... its quite sad how they are missing all this cool stuff, and instead give us the same characters over and over.

The are leavin all the fun out!

Yeah as would I. People like star crossed lovers ykno. The couple that cannot be. Sure Rogue with Iceman was tough but Iceman was a nice guy. Gambit is a player and wants the girl who can't ever do it. It's good stuff.

yeah, it is.

Not to mention that they would be an even hotter couple than Rogue and Bobby. And that Gambit would bring a whooooooooole new side of movie Rogue.

much more interesting, for sure, Id like to see movie Rogue smiling a bit more, and playing a bit with flirting with an unknown. That would be pretty cool to see on Anna.

anyway, so many great dinamics on there

Didnt some spoilers say that Apocalypse movie would happen in an alternate timeline ? Cause if that is true why could Rogue not be a different age in this timeline ?

Singer confirmed it will be a First Class centric movie, nothing about alternate realities, in Empire, so there's a good chance she won't even be in it.

if they are spoilers, you should have used the Spoilers tag!

:whatever:

It could be that Taylor said he doesn't want to come back as Gambit (hence Lauren approached Channing). In that case, beggars can be choosers apparently. ;)

Considering the entire plot of DOFP is going back to First Class' time and changing the future, though, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that Apocalypse will be set in its own alternate timeline. Kind of a brilliant way to do a reboot without all the headache, actually.

For the most part...depends how far they're taking it. They can do cross dimension traveling down the road.

While he was promoting Origins he was fond on the idea of a solo movie and working with Anna, so I don't think that's the case.

The "Friday Night Lights" star already shared his proposal for a darker take on Gambit, but he has a few thoughts on bringing the ragin' Cajun face to face with his comic book love interest Rogue, played in previous X-Men films by Anna Paquin.

"There are two things with that -- she's such a great actress and I'd love to work with her, and that would be cool to see Gambit and Rogue,"

"I'd also like to see the charming Gambit on his own and see how he is with other women -- see how he is with the women in the casino there, with the charm and the suave and the effortlessness it takes with him," he explained. "That's something I'd like to explore as well."

MTV

I'd prefer it if they keep Taylor, but if Gambit is going to be replaced I hope they don't cast Tatum

But that was before his starring efforts in John Carter, Battleship and Savages. Though I don't pretend to know the career of the guy, this is how I'm reading this: I suspect he's had a change of heart about being the lead in films.

which he didn't.

It's true that Origins, John Carter, Battleship and Savages hurt his career, but he was not a bad Gambit. People kinda liked him, even when his role was so dull.

I think he can be a great Gambit if he has the chance.

EDIT: he co-stared in two of his biggest flops with Lynn Collins, he's still working and she hasn't done anything else. Hollywood is still in the mood to give him more oportunities.

I'll never understand the people who says Savages hurt Taylor's career too, but none says Savages and Kick ass hurt Aaron Taylor Jonhson.

Aaron was the other lead of Savages and the big lead of both Kick ass movies, yet none say "he had two flops".

Its the typical double moral with some actors of hollywood.

In a Lone Survivor Coming soon interview he said he would return and he had a blast playing the character. But in prior interviews he did state he was done with those kind of roles, and it didn't sound like he had an interest. So who knows. If the role was good and they asked him back he would do it. I think he's gonna be cautious though.

He was awesome in Lone Survivor.

It does if Gambit is the lead, which the proposed Lauren Shuller-Donner film, Gambit, put him as.

Besides these are all hypotheticals. None of us know what's going on behind the scenes. What I am saying is that Kitsch might not want the burden of having these studio movies on his shoulder in the foreseeable future. Again, I am just guessing. And I wouldn't blame him. I imagine the John Carter post-release might have been a very stressful a situation for a relatively new actor like him.

And I am not attacking Taylor. Sorry if it come off that way.
