They way they delt with her character I don't think if anyone would of really noticed her abscence. Like if they didn't have her in the final scene at all. In the movie in the 70s scenes wolverine even seems to forget about her.

Just came back from seeing it. Guys it was amazing. And as a die hard Rogue fan I will be honest, she really wasn't needed. And I have been pissed about her cut and wanted her in so badly. But to be honest there was already so much going on in the future, that extra subplot wouldn't have worked. And now I can actually understand why they cut it. Still upset yes, but if it was for the best of the film then I trust them. And as a crazy Rogue fan not once during the movie did I think where is she, she needs to be here. So much is happening that you just have to focus on the movie.

If they ever go ahead with a future X-Men film Rogue will def be in it. I think we would have seen her had her schedule not beed so complicated. But things work out the way do for a reason. I do want to see her scenes and hope they release an alternate edit. But for now don't let it ruin your experience when seeing DoFP. Because it is so good.

The deleted scenes had Shawn's character with her but in the movie, Shawn's character was fighting with sentinels before the X-jet arrives.

I do wonder how the script would have been written had her schedule not been so busy. Would she be with the small group of mutants on the run, or the same type of scenario just with more to do. I think Simon did say they had her rescue scene and all that came with it, plus other scenes planned for her. But her schedule got in the way and she could only film the rescue and few extra bits. But we musn't dwell. Let's just please hope and pray they use her in Apocalypse, or the next Wolverine or go ahead with another original cast movie. Please please please Fox.

they could atleast have a shot of rogue in the mutant camp/prison in the beginning to explain why the sentinels can copy powers. that wouldn't take the whole day to film. that would make so much sense than saying that Mystique inspired the future sentinels. as far as I know Mystique can copy just the look of everyone, but not their powers. also, there were shots of random stuff that could've been cut short to make room for future rogue.

But if they really meant from the start to just give her 1 cameo scene, she would probably at least say something to Logan like "good morning Logan".

It could have work especially if we see her on her own trying to just live and get by and then all of a sudden a sentinel comes out of nowhere she runs and we have a little chase and she gets killed. Actually could have set the tone and shown that the future is disastrous and no one is safe. Then at least even a little we get more from her character even if it is a 1 minute scene. And then her reveal in the altered timeline would feel more beautiful.

But yeah there's no point in wanting anything different. It is what it is lol.

Copying powers, mimicking powers, counteracting attacks is what i meant im not certain since i havent seen the movie yet. I dont think they would change it from Anna to JLaw just because of her popularity that seems kinda silly.

Well i just got back from the movie.

First of all i loved the movie. I really did.

Did i miss Rogue ? Hmmm not so much as i thought i would.

I will say it was obvious to me when her scenes had to come in. But hey that is what the dvd deleted scenes are for.

But for phasing issues i understand her cut. And i really did love the last future scene. She looked so happy. And gorgeous. I want a screencap of if that is hoe great she looks.

I did miss a lot more scenes and the future part lacked some. But this was an FC film to begin with. We complain about Rogue. But all the future characters were not fully used as they could. Storm had hardley any dialogue. Warpath and sunspot were useless to me. Not to mention colossus gets screwed over with dialogue everytime. I really really loved blink she is a great new mutant. Fan nailed her.

What i also loved most besides the whole alternate future was that everything fell into place with all the movies. So i give this movie an 8 / 10

Umm, she was not working/busy she they did all those reshoots last Fall and was a free as a bird, so I don't know why people keep talking about her schedule being the reason they could not fit her into the movie. It just did not work out for the character to be in this movie in a meaningful way. That's all.

How is that silly? JLaw has shown time and time again that she puts behinds in the seats. Even that dreadful horror movie she did a couple years ago made money. Not seeing Paquin's Rogue's cuts scenes as described were not going to make people not see a movie that was already hyped and is getting great reviews. I do suspect that if Paquin had a hot box office record (among other things) you would have seen a lot more of her because money talks.

Anna is very popular because of True Blood. She would get some fans in the seats, especially die hard Rogue fans. But it isn't just money here when it comes to Rogue's scenes. Had she been able to film more with the original cast she would have been in the movie. But she couldn't because of her True Blood schedule. Now maybe in reshoots they could have worked something out but obviously for the better of the film they worked around Rogue and edited her out. It's movies it happens. People just need to move on from it now. What's done is done.

Anna looked flawless in her one scene. So stunning. Still has the Rogue look down perfectly. Hope we can see her again as Rogue in the future.

She moved so quickly I barely got a look at her before she was gone. But I saw her name in the credits longer!
