That's the thing. How you do even move forward with the characters he's touched? It's every character.

The old generation, the new generation. It's just the show is going to be very glum for a while.

I have no idea how Glee is gonna do some fun musical number again without it seeming wildly inappropriate...not to mention the cast feeling like filming anything like that...

I just want to wake up and find out that this has all been a bad dream.

But this is going to be a very make it or break moment for Glee. Everyone has to be on their A game esp the writers. This season is going to be to important on where the show goes.

I wouldn't worry so much about the actors in Finn's funeral episode because I have doubts that much of it would be acting as opposed to them just actually mourning Cory.

But the writing, yea.

Finn is not Cory and Cory is not Finn.

Making Finn a drug addict out of nowhere for the sole purpose of a PSA would be cheap to the point of almost being offensive, IMO.

Its going to like i said depend on what they all think copy would want. They really should touch on drugs eventually if they attach it to Finn or not.

I see both sides to it... If i was battle g an addiction and didn't want others to die from it. I sure as hell would want the message to be loud and clear. Ultimately it can't be offensive if its what they all decide on.

Have each character try to better themselves. ND will work their hardest to win Nationals in Finns name to honor him. I feel like Rachel should hit rock bottom and rise from the ashes stronger than ever.

The music should be very somber first half of the season. They can have them try to do upbeat songs but in the end just have it feel not right.

Imagine how tearjerking it would be if they sang Don't Stop Believing...

"The show must go on" so to speak. Cory wouldn't want the show ended on his behalf. And even when someone dies on Broadway the show still continues. The cast mourns and they pick up the pieces and go on. They will just do what they do now for him.

With the kind of guy Cory was (or at least seemed like-- obviously I never met him), I think they would want the show to go on. Obviously, don't jump right into the "happy happy, joy joy" of it all, but sort of handle it accordingly.

Yeah. The show will take at least 2 episodes before you hear anything up tempo id imagine. At least

Rachel wanted to marry Finn at one point. Yes it was out of the stupidity of young love, but I feel there's no way to go with her but as someone said rock bottom.

I feel she'd take Kurt and Santana with her too.

He's just far too central to the show for it to be ''Here's 4 episodes of them being sad." ''Now we're back to the latest Top 40 Dance Hit."

You want to talk about rock bottom, just imagine Schue...

I can't imagine the show not delving into some pretty dark **** over this.

Exactly. Finn has been portrayed time and again as Rachel's one overriding true love.

He's Kurt's brother.

Quinn's ex and first love.

Will's best friend.

Puck's best friend.

He brought Sam into New Directions.

He had sex with Santana and was the one who broke down her walls after accidentally outing her.

He and Blaine had some bonding moments in Season 3 and 4.

He bonded with Marley, and Ryder, and Jake.

He was New Directions' coach.

He was friends with Beiste and sparred with Sue.

He was connected to virtually everyone in some way.

I can see Shue going either way. Either he would try to be strong for his students or he would be a hot mess.

If there are any two characters I have a hard time seeing being anything but hot messes, it's Schue and Rachel.

Rachel should be beyond devastated. Schue not far behind her, if any.

Kurt third (not counting Carole and Burt). Puck. Quinn.

Of the newbies, Marley really looked up to him and so did Ryder.

This would be the best moment to have Emma get some major screen time. She is the school counselor, this is somewhat up her ally and she should be around helping everyone. But I doubt they will remember that.

They love squandering opportunities to use Emma.

Also, Jayma Mays has been cast on another show.

They better include Carole and Burt in this.

If they do not give Carole a big scene I will be so mad.

I think Unique would have a moment too. He was the one that had the best scene with her about how she felt last year during the Grease stuff.

It's like everywhere you go just like Cory. Finn despite his faults did touch every character in some way.

Jayma Mays is a regular on a new series now, so they already preemptively botched that one. :o

Isnt it a comedy? I feel like she would have enough time to show up to do 2 full episodes of Glee.

Probably, but with something like this, I imagine Emma's services would be required for alot longer than that.

Hell, he was even the one who was most understanding about Artie not wanting to pose shirtless in the calendar.

This is making me sadder to say goodbye to the character too, because for all his faults, thinking back to all these bonding moments he had with people, at heart Finn really was a decent dude. He tried. :csad:

Yeah but we all know they wont do that even if they had her counsel the students.

2 episodes feels like nothing...

Yeah but for us viewers it'd be 3 weeks or more of depressing episodes 3 months after his death. They arnt going to drag the show down completely though in sure Rachel will carry on a season long story arch of picking up the pieces. But the rest of the show can't do that.
