Glee Episode V: The Sylvester Strikes Back - - - Part 12

Anyway, episode 22 is called All or Nothing. It is the Regionals episode. The first confirmed song is "Clarity", sung by Jessica Sanchez's character, Frida Romero, and the Hoosier Daddies.

Just saw the episode and it was the best of the season. Totally nothing like what I was expected. Didn't expect to see such a serious subject handled here and the twist at the end with Sue shocked me.

Surprised Ryder already knows he's being catfished. I thought they would drag that out a bit longer. Wonder if its someone we know

I thought the scenes in the choir room were really well acted, full kudos to the cast who don't get to stretch their acting muscles much, and I thought the stuff with Sue and Becky was nicely played and enabled the show to do a serious subject without having to follow through.

Note to Ryder, when you find a girl as pretty as Marissa and sing a classic ballad to her that has her swooning, ASK HER OUT!

My money's on Unique at this point..

I think so too, as it'll allow Murphy to develop the Unique character and how he/she sees the future such as becoming a post-op. I suppose they could also explore how a guy might feel about being with a woman who used to be a man.

I feel like Ryan Murphy already explored that on Nip/Tuck. Matt and Ava! Good times.

E! News claims Patty Duke (who just did Colfer's movie Struck By Lightning) and Meredith Baxter are appearing in the finale and will have recurring roles in Season 5 as a longtime lesbian couple who befriend Blaine.

Also, there is a "significant" Burt/Blaine scene in 4x21, and there may be some significant Klaine stuff in the finale....wouldn't surprise me, considering Cory's out of commission and Heather's pregnant. Glee never likes to end a finale without some couple cliffhangers, and Klaine's really the only one where both the actors are available.

I was excited for like 1 second. Of course adults can reoccur for Blaine/Kurt/Rachel but everyone else just gets left on the cutting room floor (yes I am still bitter we have not seen mama Lopez again). And what makes it even worse is that rumor has it Blaine wants to propose to Kurt which gets these two introduced and storyline off the ground. Not to mention that the shows main lesbian doesn't even get her lady lovin on.

I really DNW Blaine proposing to Kurt when they're not even together and Kurt's dating someone else.

Way to further make Blaine look like a ridiculous and desperate lovesick puppy with no powers of judgement, Glee, especially since he's been mooning all over Sam a couple episodes ago. Why is it the longer you're on this show, the more your character gets systematically eroded of all scraps of dignity?

And I say this as a total Klainer, so that tells you how just no this entire idea is, if it's true.

I think its pretty obvious that kurt's heart is no where near the new bf.....

Also how friggin off-putting was it when upon hearing about the Blaine /Kurt moulin rouge special thing the two had together, he essentially was forcing Kurt to find a song they could recreate that emotion with?

That's not the kind of thing you can just make happen or force.... I found it almost creepy and desperate.

Kurt and Adam are both kidding themselves.

I wouldn't call Adam creepy, he seems like a nice guy, but desperate you could say. Staying with someone you know still loves his ex is just setting himself up for doom.

And the fact that Kurt still uses his boyfriend pillow to simulate cuddling indicates he has no desire to be physically affectionate with Adam.

Sorry, but Adam is so laughably irrelevant it's like the writers aren't even bothering to even try making him look like a legitimate love interest.

That's the point though. Adam is so irrelevant that if Kurt doesn't even take him seriously than why should Blaine ?

It's taken four seasons for Puck to get a full head of hair. A real head of hair, that is. Not whatever **** that is they put on his head last year when he had to play Blaine. :o

He did give the part a bit more flavor than Darren usually does. I find Darren pretty bland alot of the time when he's playing Blaine.

I think Darren can be good when he gets meaty material (which isn't often).

I thought he was pretty good in The Break-Up and when Kurt called him on Thanksgiving.

He has more chemistry with Chord than Jenna IMO.

Blaine's problem is part of the same problem Sam has. They're completely inoffensive nice guys to the point of not having that much juice. Sam's even blander than Blaine, IMO, not to mention they've dumbed him down to be a worthy suitor for Brittany, apparently.

I do like the Blaine/Sam friendship though. Darren and Chord are friends IRL (they hung out over the summer between S2 and S3 going to music festivals together) and I think it carries onto the screen, same as Lea/Chris.

Yeah he can be good when they decide to give him something interesting to do. But most of the time it is just the same thing over again.

Same with HeMo. I know a lot of people don't like her acting but I feel part of it is RM and co. fault since they tell her to act that way even though she has expressed trying to do more but being told to revert to the old boring stupid Brittney.

To be honest, Heather surprised me in the Brittana break-up scene with the emotion she brought across. I wouldn't have known she was capable of it.

She did it again in the restroom this last episode.

Well that's because she wasn't acting in the break up scene she was genuinely touched and crying lol. Which is somewhat surprising since she isn't exactly pro Brittana.

The thing about Britt is, the way that character was written from the beginning, she doesn't really provide much room for growth without seeming like they've radically altered the character. IMO, it feels to me like she should've always been a supporting character.

I think she had plenty of room for growth. But all she has been doing since season 1 is regressing. She already was getting some character growth when she was dating Artie. They make her dumber each season.

I was expecting them to have Britt vs. Kitty for leadership of the Cheerios and them showing that Brittany can hold her own in battle.

There are six songs in the season finale. A solo for Rachel and five Regionals songs, two for the Hoosierdaddies and three for New Directions.

The Hoosierdaddies songs are the aforementioned "Clarity" and also "Wings", by Little Mix. The first New Directions songs is Icona Pop's "I Love It", sung by Tina, Kitty, Brittany and Unique.

4x20 synopsis:
Will raises cause for concern when he learns that one of New Directions’ competitors at Regionals has a secret weapon in the form of a diminutive sophomore with a voice so powerful it could spell the gleeks’ undoing.
When McKinley suffers a mass power outage leaving the glee club unable to rehearse with their electronic equipment, Will takes advantage of the situation by going “unplugged” in the hopes it will encourage the kids to find their own big voice; the assignment leads Artie and the others to discover a unique and exciting new sound.

As Sue seems perfectly content with her new career as a hardcore aerobics instructor at a local gym, Blaine – convinced there was more to her firing than she is willing to admit – sets out to learn the truth in a bid to vindicate the former Cheerios! coach. While Ryder continues to try and discover who he has been carrying on his text-only romance with, he reveals an embarrassing secret to the rest of the kids, leading to the discovery of a kindred spirit. Meanwhile in New York, worried that Santana is wasting her talents dancing at (and on) bars, Kurt and Rachel encourage her to take steps towards achieving her dreams despite the fact that she’s not even sure what it is she wants.

The original songs from next week sound pretty good.

And they revelead some more stuff about Lights Out.

Sue becomes an aerobics instructor. Blaine believes there's more to her dismissal than Figgins is letting them know, and enlists Sam and Artie in their superhero alter-egos from Dynamic Duets to investigate.

Ryder continues searching for Katie, and is forced to admit an embarassing secret that leads him to bond with a kindred spirit.

A power outage convinces Will to encourage the kids to perform "unplugged", and they do acoustic stuff.

Rachel and Kurt believe Santana is waisting her talents working at bars and decide to put her career on track.

ND dominates the finale and it just consists of them and Rachel singing? Srsly?

2lswc9f.gif

First Blaine rejoins the Cheerios to take down Sue...now he wants to "save" her? Its s2 Quinn+NY all over again and just general Glee.

35ls080.gif

They have people tell Santana to not follow her dream of being famous and go to college, her mom tells her to go after her dream, Santana goes to college, Brittany tells her to go after her dream, Santana moves to NY and now she doesn't know what she wants to do?
