Glee Episode V: The Sylvester Strikes Back

Sofia Vegara deserves it this year as Sue isn't as nearly a dynamic villain or character as she was in season 1. However, Jane Lynch deserved her Emmy win last year by a mile and I'm sick of the MF cast badmouthing Glee out of envy.

Anyway, did anyone catch the nod to South Park about gingers having no souls? That made me smile.

Good episode overall. I'm really interested in the Santana subplot. I thought this was the episode where they would crown the prom king and queen. When will that be?

Oh and I'm looking forward to next week's episode. Looks like it will be a good Sam episode. I like the character. He hasn't annoyed me as much as Kurt and isn't as stupid as Finn (though he's in the running). The only male character I like more is Mike Chang and maybe Will.

So who else thinks Kurt would still be at Dalton if they were headed to Nationals instead of the New Directions?

Kind of a moot question. If New Directions weren't going to Nationals, then Santana wouldn't have a mechanism for bringing Kurt back, which means her "deal" with Karofsky wouldn't have happened, which means Kurt would not feel safe enough to return.

Frankly, of the glee ladies, Naya makes more sense as a Best Supporting Actress nominee this year; her character is way more relevant. But I agree that Vergara will probably win (much like Colfer will win the opposing award, thus swapping categories).

Some songs for 2.19:

Songbird by Santana

Dreams by April and Will

Go Your Own Way by Rachel

She doesn't need another one. Sophia Vergara deserved it then, and will deserve it again in September. :o

No she didn't. :o

Since Kentucky was in Tornado crisis yesterday, didnt get to watch this yesterday.

But just watched it and it was a good episode, espically since it had plenty of Santana and her general awsomeness. Not only did she bring Kurt back but she cut down on bullying. To bad her love life isnt so easy for her to fix. But I had to laugh at how unimportant the Samtana relationship was to the writers. They dont even get to break up on screen. I only noticed because they didnt sit together like every couple does in Glee club. it was nice to see Britney actually get mad for once. Sure she is stupid but when she actually thinks she is just as smart as Finn....and nice to see Santana wear the shirt Britney made for her in the end.

And I half expected to see a Santana/Kurt scene somewhere towards the end where he confronts her/thanks her. I hope we get one before the end of the season.

Glee was beat by NBC's The Voice last night, it had its lowest ratings since 2009.

I'm thinking this will only be a one week thing and not the start of a decline like Heroes.

Glee didnt even air in KY last night due to tornadoes and other states due to tornadoes so im not surprised about the rating.

Wow. All of the songs were on point this week. A rarity this season.

It's nice to see Quinn and Lauren forming such a good friendship now. We'd better enjoy it before they completely stop speaking to one another next season.

Tina got a solo and didn't cry!

For the love of god, Bushy Brows, just transfer to McKinley to be with Kurt already! We all know it's coming.

If Santana and Dave win, which one would be Prom Queen?
Seriously, I love it when Santana goes on a rampage. Her fury creates results. Kurt's back, Dave's apologizing, and we might no longer have to deal with Azimio if a bullying presence isn't tolerated. If Emma's OCD was getting in Santana's way, she'd have seen a psychiatrist months ago.

I thought Lauren and Quinn had a nice moment at the end of this epsiode. I am now going to ship them as a couple. I'll call them Fabrises.

I support this.

It's sad, but I actually kind of have to agree with you there. On one hand, I ****ing love her. On the other, the overall show may be better off without her.

You all know what this means....
SPINOFF!!!!!

:awesome::awesome::awesome::awesome::awesome:

I'd watch it!

So I just discovered the show Party Down on netflix. It's ****ing hilarious. I love Jane Lynch in it. I'm watching the first season and suddenly she disappears in the last few episodes. Then I remembered this is around the time Glee got big. I'm glad we have Sue but I loved her character on Party Down too.

Party Down was awesome, it was a real shame JL left, but I guess she had to think about her career. I can't begrudge her that. Upside? We got Jennifer Coolidge and Megan Mullally to replace her.

Actually, thinking about it I'd love to see either of those actresses on Glee.

And now Party Down is cancelled (right?)

But I wonder if we will even see Santana run for Prom Queen since it wasnt even brought up after she brought it up in the Glee group.

It's a shame because Party Down was consistently funny. I can't fault Lynch for thinking about her career. :csad:

I love it.

Wow! They sound great together! Cory has been getting some great songs lately.

I'm surprised at how little I hate Agron and Mantooth* on the rare occasion that they're given songs that actually suit them.

*Yes, I know it's really Monteith

Wasn't someone supposed to die in last nights episode?

Anyway it was cheesy but fun, I don't know what the number Kurt did was but he sang it well as it was a difficult one, and the song at the end reminded me of a Madonna track. The stand out song was definitely 'Unpretty', Quinn and Rachel were great together and the arrangement was haunting.

Quinn's out of nowhere chubby past and the Lebanese shirt made me laugh. :woot:

The death is supposed to be in the episode before the finale.

Love "Go your own way"!
It's one of my favorite songs, and it sounds awesome! :awesome:

I believe it is their first duet, yes.
